My Dad and me are always arguing and we don't seem to be gettin better at getting along!! He always comes home and sometimes for no reason he'll start yelling at me!! Every time i go out he starts saying that i'm just getting out to see my boyfriend, which is not true!! So please give me some advice on what to do!!

sweetie some times children just odnt get along with one parent and it can be a nightmare for everyone living in the house. just repsect him in every case and if he feels the need to yell let it go in one ear and out the other, no point in arguing with him.

There is no point in arguing with him. Your parents are just trying to protect u. They dont want anything to hapen to u. Thats what parenting is all about. He thinks that u are out with your boyfriend all the time, u need to set down with him and talk to him about that. That is probably why u are not getting along. Tell him that u are going out to get out of the house. Maybe he does not realize that he is yelling at u. Or that is his way of letting u know he cares, I know that this might sound unrealistic, but my father used to do the same thing all the time and that was how he got my attention. Sounds like Dad is taking his personal problems out on you. Sometimes parents have a bad day and bring their attitude home with them wreaking havoc on the family cause they can't risk losing the job that they hate but feeds the family. Try to be understanding, and without judgement ask your dad if he's okay and what's bothering him. Showing concern for a parent goes a long way. Probably feels everyone is doing their own thing and not noticing how unhappy he is. Could be jealous of your boyfriend or your attention to others in general.

Does he yell at your because you don't do your chores? Or is he yelling at your for the way your dressed? I am not discriminating but you didn't give enough information.
My advice is to get with him on a good time for you all to talk and tell him your feelings. Dads are different with their girls....I am a grown woman and my dad still thinks I am 8.
From the information that you gave, it sounds like he doesn't want his little girl to grow up. All dad's are like that.
You also have to remember that Daddy's know what boyfriends are thinking and they don't like that eather.

He sounds like he has problems. Does he drink? Is he stressed at work? People take their problems out on the people closest to them at the time. That is VERY wrong of him to do that to you, but try to ask him what's wrong,( it might take several times), see what happens. It's not you, I'm sure, that's just a typical man.

Talking to him if at all possible is the best option unless he like my dad and there is no talking to him in that case ingore him, don't fight back, just nod and agree...Try to keep peace till you can move out. He is probably just worried about you and doesn't like the fact his little girl is growing up.

i know that this is going to sound crazy but you should take somebody with you that he trust and when you go out that person is right there and sees what you are doing and no offense but if you dont want that person to go then evidently you are doing something that you probably shouldnt be!!
