It's the weekend after second-cousins weekend and the weekend before unknown stranger weekend.
Is there really such a thing as grandparents day... or are you some sort of card manufacturer trying to hype it up?

The sunday after labor day, the date varies year to year.
I usually start putting up lights in mid-August. It's become a tradition that the grandchildren play "hot and cold" with my meds and I end up feeling woozy......

It's just another marketing invention - ignore it and just be nice to your grandparents every day.
