Why does it seem that when someone else tells your child what to do , or just talks to them in what I would call in an unmannerly way does it bother me . But when I do it its ok ?

I am the same way. I can yell at my kids but no one else better even think about it! I think it is because we love them so much that even when we are mad at them we know that we still love them. Other people we feel are being mean and it's not coming from love so we feel the mother lion part of us kick in and we defend our kids.

It's natural to protect your young. Just be smart about it, if they say something that is outside of the way you discipline, then you speak directly to your child and tell him what to do in your own way.

If you agree with what they said, nevermind how they said it, then simply agree to your child that they need to obey.

well i believe that you did not enjoy being told what to do by people you didn't love as a child and you are now reflecting that by acting in the way you wish your parents acted with you.

Its natural for a parent to know their child and for someone else to assume that they know your child enough to speak or chastise them is annoying to anyone.

if it was my sisters or mom @ dad its okay with me because they have the child's interest at heart. someone else we tend to get disturbed especially with our mother instinct. no one really has to tell your child if your on the job. at babysitters? i always used family and paid them. strangers don't have that love like family members. don't get me wrong some are okay i personally chose not to.

because it's not their child so they have no right but it is your child and you take care of them so it's ok for you to
