Last April. my brother asked us for a loan, I borrowed against a credit card to give him $6500. He paid us back $1000. Since then, he sends me nasty text messages telling me what a ***** I am for wanting the money back. I have a husband, two kids ( under 11) , three mortgages( we own two businesses, two car payments, etc.) How can I make him realize that he has hurt us financially! I have such guilt over putting my family in this situation. I don't want to hate him but I do! Please, What can I do to get this money back! I will do anything, i will Prosecute him! how do i do this? Has anyone else had this happen to them? He will not respond on the phone, he only sends me hateful text messages.

I am from a small town in a rural state, 250 miles from where we live. All of my family live back home, except my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and niece who live 30 minutes from me. After visits back home my hubby asked if I thought of moving back, I told him I always promised my gramma that I would take care of her. Long story short where we live in is going down hill-FAST! The city has stretched out and things are getting worse. My hubby has now offered to sell our house & move back home- where we could by a new one outright. Which would be great not to have to worry about mortgage /crime /education /sprawl /etc.

My strongest ties are to my mom & niece which are the only cons keeping me back and I am not sure how/if I would cope being away from them. My main concern is my hubby & 3 young children. My hubby talked to b-in-law and says they would be not long behind but I am afraid- what if they don't move,I see them everyday now and love it- besides my mom is my best friend-Help

Me and my husband are so in love, we have a daughter and Im pregnant with our 2nd child. However, we have a huge problem, that we constantly fight over. His family and my family. He doesnt really like my parents much and when I go over there most times with our daughter he gets jelous and angry, and he doesnt like going over there. I never had a problem with his parents until he started getting like this about my parents and its making me not want to be aroung his parents, like Im resenting them and I cant help being angry now when he wants us to go round there. Is this normal or am I just being selfish?

How do you get two brothers who haven't said a word to the other brother for the past three years at the same time when their Father past away?

It's sad to say they had a big fight after the loss of their Dad and have not said a word to one another for this long.

Because all my husband and I hear is "he has to say sorry first before I say sorry to him". Though either one has yet to this day said I'm sorry.

I guess I have just gotten to where I don't know what to tell my husband anymore because I know it's got to be hard on him to know that his brothers are no longer on talking terms.

My brother seems never to learn to stand on his own feet and manage his own life. He didn´t finish school, he got no occupation and he always expects my parents to be there for him and helping him out. I don´t talk to him anymore. Sometimes I feel sorry for him but then again I am sooo angry at him. What if there is nobody there to help him anymore?! I hate him for using my parents and doing just bs!

I'm 14 and my parents don't trust me at all. I asked to go to the park tomorrow, and they yelled at me and told me I just want to go sneak off and do something stupid. They leave absolutely no room whatsoever for compromise... I can't do anything! They treat me like a 5 year old, no matter what I do. I swore I wasn't going to do anything I shouldn't, but they still don't believe me. I never get to hang out with my friends. I have to be in the house, all day if I'm not at school. I don't get to have ANY fun. The park isn't even too far away... yet my parents still are leaning towards a no on letting me go. I told them I only want to hang out with my friends ONCE for the Christmas break... and that's all. The only time I broke their trust was over a year ago sneaking out of church. I went about A BLOCK away, and that was to get coffee. I wouldn't do anything like that again now that they've shown their obvious disapproval. How can I compromise with them so I can go out?

I'm 16 yrs. old and I was adopted from Lima, Peru when I was 6 months old. I never knew my mother, much less my father. I don't know anything about her, I don't even have a picture to look at, and my adoptive parents didn't even get to meet her. I feel lost, and I feel that now I'm 16 yrs. old I need to find out more about her. I feel empty, I wanna know who she is, people that aren't adopted doesn't know how it feels to not know the person who gave you "life". I don't feel right asking my adoptive mother/father if I could ever find her, for some reason I feel that I would be hurting them, even though I Love them very much. All I know is her name is Amelia, I don't even know if she could still be alive. Anyways, I want to know if there is any way to confront your parents about finding about my birthmother without making them "sad" or something idk. Is there anything that could help you find your parents. If I found her I don't even know if she's want to meet me.

been going with my bf for 5 yrs and just got engaged.the problem is his exwife jo.she still loves him and will not leave us or his family alone.they have a 8 yr old son tom and jo uses him like bait to get into family functions and to contact my bf daily.she calls him for EVERYTHING, from tom stubbing his to toe to his last bowel movement(not kidding)which then leads into a 15-20 min conversation about other things.this would not bother me much if she was not such a ***** to me.she always trys to undermind me to my inlaws, and has made it very clear she wants me to have nothing to do with her son.my bf will not say anything to her period as he said he wants to take the high road with her for tom's sake and has told me if i don't like it get out.they have joint custody so she can't deny him visatation rights.he said i don't have a child so i won't understand his reasoning.i just feel she is controlling him thru tom and to involved in our lives.i have to live with it or get out am i wrong

This May I will be moving into an apartment with my boyfriend of 4 years out of wedlock. We are old enough, financially capable, and using protection. His mother hates me because “I am taking her baby away” –even though I was the best thing since canned beer before we got serious. Anyways she is totally against it, she says for religious reasons and that she does not believe we are a good match. Although we love each other and will be getting married after we are done with college. What can I do to change her mind?
