My step dad abused prescription meds, and also done cocaine for 6 months, and was put into some sort of rehab. He only spent 23 days there, and he's out....but I feel he is back to his same habits...I know the signs cause he's doing things he done in the past...I'm not sure why my mom puts up with it, and they have a 14 year old son who is hurting emotionally from this. He's handicapped, he has one leg and is wheelchair bound....I think maybe family feels sorry for him, but I don't think he got proper help. He was able to call home whenever he wanted from that place too. Can anyone help me......what can I do to help, how can I motivate anyone to get him th right help? How should I be?

My mom used to slap me around a lot as a child
I was in a few tv commericials as a little boy for my cuteness (LOL, once I dressed as dinosaur to sell foot powder)
She loved me then but when i got pimples and wrinkles, her love turned to wrists against my botoom side
How can i tell mother that her frozen tundra nature is annihiliting my heart?
I just want her to stroke my hair like good little boy (and I will meow a little like a cat LOL!) while she sing pretty songs about rainbows and ice cream.

I sometimes wanna suckle again...but maybe later when she learn I still her son.

I have finished my treatment and an still attending AA. I am also still going to court over my son on the 22nd. Will things start to straighten out?

My step-daughter, age 14, leaves the house as she pleases and doesn't say where she is going, when she'll be back, nothing. I was taught to ask permission, get the okay, and always tell someone. I am 30 and I am not sure if I am just too old-fashioned for this decade of children. What do you think?

He is rude to her. He has many bad habits (some of which are illegal). They have been together for 5 years, and she has been paying for him for the last 3. Also, he threatens to leave her about once every month. The last time he threatened was 3 weeks ago. Then, out of the blue, he proposed to her two days ago. We have all been hoping and praying this would not happen.

Now what?

I was using the microwave to heat up some cookies and my mom sprayed the microwave with poisoness spray to clean it and the microwave rang when they were done. I came out to pick up my cookies and my mom said you can't eat them, their poisoness. I was like why did you spray the microwave while my cookies were in there? and I threw the cookies out and got new ones and a new plate, I was like can you wipe it down so I can use the microwave? she was like no. and she sat on the couch and ate ice cream. Meanwhile, I'm trying to watch the Real world and she tells me, Oh I'll do it at the next commercial. I think that's a little bit selfish when all I wanted was 3 warm cookies and to watch the Real World before I have to go to work. Then she claims, she sprayed the microwave BEFORE I even put my cookies in there. Wtf ? Why do moms do the stupid things they do? It's not even about some damn cookies, it's about why PARENTS, not just moms or dads do the things they do?

My dad - for as long as I can remember - would tell my mother that us kids were going to grow up, get married and leave them and all my mother would have is him. While that is just what happens in life, he has used it as a means of brainwashing her to the point that when faced with having to chose between us or him - which he does often - she always takes his side. This is our birth father and mother. Even when I call her on the phone, he will distract her from the conversation. When I was a teen, I was kick out by hm many times and he would always play the "he or me card: Would you consider this a competition that my father is having with his kids for my mothers attention. What do we do about it?

My sis lives to get me grounded. She does it frequently, good thing my parents don't ground me. But they want to. Well I guess I call it grounded like I lose some of my computer time or T.V time. But nothing serious.

Example

Sis-Give me that!
Me- I can't I have to study it.
Sis-I'm telling dad!
Then before she tells dad she claws me with her sharp nails and leaves marks and peels skin! Does my dad care...... NO!
Dad-Why can't you two just get along! Shes just a little kid she dosn't know what she's doing when she claws you!
Sure she's three but going on four and very evil.
When you walk in her room things you must know are...
CAUTION Emmas room
1:Bitting
2:Scratches
3:She will Attack!
Plz Help!!!!!!!

Many parents keep telling their children "while you live under my roof you'll have to follow my rules". Also, when many parents punish their kids it sems they just want to preserve their authority, but are not worried at all about their kids feelings and don't intendo to punish them for their best. So, it sems many parents just see their kids as nuisances and don't really love them. They just want them to follow their rules and behave like parents want, but don't worry about their kids well being, happiness and feelings
This is my perception at 15, and it's not teem thing

At 1am this morning (90 mins ago) my daughter phoned me from the other side of the world and told me that she was beaten up last night by her ex partner. Their 23 month old child was present and my daughter suffered the abuse silently so as not to alarm my grandson. The police were called, she has just been to hospital and the case will go to court. His bail conditions forbid him to contact my daughter.
I am absolutely devastated. She has asked me not to tell her older brother or father who live in the UK near her as she fears that any repurcussions will impact on her, she wants to persue this through the proper channels in court.
She had not been living with her ex for many months but had maintained a reasonable relationship for the sake of their child.
My daughter is the most gentle and kind person you could meet.
I want to protect her and comfort her. I also want to see this nasty, horrible man suffer in some way for causing so much pain without resorting to violence.

She has significnt short term memory loss. However, she refuses to be honest with her doctor and she exagerrates her nobility in all areas of life. She makes people dislike her family because she brags about us shamelessly. We're ok, but just plain human. Any suggestions for coping...I want her remaining years to be good for her, but I don't want to sacrifice mine (I'm in remission from cancer). Also, distance is an issue because she lives in my backyard.

Our last name is Stone, if we have a baby boy... I want his first name to be Miles. Her rule was that we can't know anyone with the name... and we don't know a Miles. However, she doesn't like the name because when you put the first and last together it creates the word Milestone. I didn't intend on picking a name that created a word, but I really like the name. What can I do to convince her? Does anyone else think my choice is a good one?
