I was a addict to crack cocaine and the end result of this was loosing a large sum of money and eventually loosing my son to my best friend while I went into treatment. I have finished my treatment and an still attending AA. I am also still going to court over my son on the 22nd. Will things start to straighten out?

Well at theis itme your son may be in the best place for him. Being on drugs was not excuse for losing him,. You had to knwo the outcoem before you snorted the first time,

I would think of that.
I hope it does turn around for you. but you have a long way to go.
The world is tired of dope and dopers, it's time to dowe something that works like taking dopers and ealers and deprting to a deserted island for life. or making special camps fpr them and putoing them to work for their barest living expense forlife. we need to get the facts ot to the public that druggies are no better than drug dealers and should pay the price. Without a market drug dealers would not last. You helped ot keep an army of drug dealers in business. you helped ot break up families othe rthna ours.
persobnally I don't think your sons best interest would lie with you.You gave up that rioght when yuou snorted the first dose or used the first needle or smoked the first joint.

This has happened to people plenty of times. It may take a couple of years for you to get your son back. Just stay positive keep going to your AA meetings and keep the faith. You'll be fine. I had been suffering from depression for some years and I just made up my mind to be happy. I didn't need any medication or counseling. You will be shocked how powerful the human mind is.

Sounds like you should be talking to a psychic.
Whether things will straighten out depends on your determination and committment to go the right way, and the support system you have (family, friends)

The decision is yours to make. You yourself can only answer that question. Things can turn out for the better or not, it is up to you. Take control of your own life and don't let life control you. Life is what YOU make it.
