He is rude to her. He has many bad habits (some of which are illegal). They have been together for 5 years, and she has been paying for him for the last 3. Also, he threatens to leave her about once every month. The last time he threatened was 3 weeks ago. Then, out of the blue, he proposed to her two days ago. We have all been hoping and praying this would not happen.
Now what?

Unfortunately she is determined to stay with the guy. Be supportive qwhen he dumps her again - he will.

well the only thing you can do is sit her down and talk to her. Tell her logically the reasons you don't like him as husband material for her. Don't bash his personality, but focus on the things like the illegal things, and her having to support him. Tell her that if he hasn't changed in five years, marriage isn't going to change him either. Also, tell her that since he is involved in illegal things, you won't be having him over to your house and/or around the kids in the family, because you need to protect the kids. What else can you do? If she's determined to screw up her life, there isn't much you can do, except point it out to her and pray that she comes to her senses. Also, I suppose you could call the police and report his illegal activities, but you need to know that she may never forgive you for that, and you have to be willing to live with those consequences.

She's the one that has to see that this guy is bad for her. The best you can do at this point is to be there emotionally for her when this guy doesn't hold up his side of the bargain. Lecturing or threatening her will only strengthen her resolve to hold onto him at this point. Be her support because this guy probably won't.

You cant stop them or do anything. The way this whole thing is going to end is that she will have to marry him and then the sh*t will hit the fan even worse. She will see the light one day and leave him. Just be there for her and express your views to give her things to think about.

All you do is just let her be happy, if hes such a bum to your sister then soon she will learn, until then just let it play out on its own. Saying something or objecting the proposal can backfire on you guys and you could lose your sister forever, let them live their life, would you like to see her happy? or would you not like to see her at all? think about it.

There is not a whole lot anyone can do, with the exception of your sister. Just make sure you show her love and kindness, then she will know you genuinely care about her well-being.

I think the magic words here is paying For Him for the last three years. A threat is not worth paying one Months rent. she could us it for herself. I don't know wealth of The Family or her job.
She is his meal ticket. Not his Love.....
