So the judge order my son to go but he has anxiety and depression issues. My son said he would kill himself if he had to go to his dad. So of course I keep receiving letters from my ex's attorney telling me I'd better send him or else. I'm sure there isn't any kind of abuse, he said he hates his dad. I have no clue why. He has never bonded with his Dad, but my younger one has. My son has good months, then really bad ones. He used to go to his Dad's for 2 nights, then 1 and now none. He is in therapy and all's I keep telling my ex is just wait until our son gets a grip on things. But no, he'd rather try to prove me a bad Mom. I can't get the words out of my head,"I'll kill myself if I have to go to Daddy's" How much trouble will I be in if I don't send him, I just want the OK from the doctor as to what to do. He has anxiety attacks. My heart is so broken. My attorney is bad as everyone else, she thinks I should force him. Please help.

I don't think it is fair because she has a problem with my son who she is no longer dating that she take it out on me. My son is providing child support she is angry about the amount set by the judge she wanted more. She has moved and I don't have an address nor home phone number for her. And when she wants to vacation and be child free she will call and say he can come over. Would anyone know if grandparents can file for visitation rights of the grandchildren in North Carolina and if so what is the process. I have over $500.00 worth of christmas gifts that I was going to take to my grandson today and was told that I would not see my grandson just drop the gifts off with the other grandmother. I declined that offer and said that if I could not see my grandson then sadly he would not get his gifts. I don't think that I am being unreasonable just tired of taking whatever has been dished out to me about my grandson. Please help a Native New Yorker grandmother know her rights folks.

I have a lot going on in my family and personal life. I am 23 years old and my parents are forcing me to choose between my family and my boyfriend. There is so much more to the story which is why it's hard to make a decision. I want to write them a letter so I can get it out my system without interruption but I just wasn't sure if that was rude or not

My mother is 77 years old and her pension and social security aren't enough to cover her monthly expenses. It has been like this for the last two years. One of my brothers and I send her money regularly to help her out. My eldest brother can't seem to help out though. I have broached the subject a couple of times and let him know she needs help. He always gives the excuse that he can barely pay his own bills. I happen to know better since I have found out about several expensive purchases he has made for himself.
Mom doesn't need alot but even $50 a month from each of us would ease her burden tremendously. My other brother and I resent the fact that the eldest won't help out and it is lying about his reason. Yet he fully expects his part of her estate when she dies. By the time that happens, none of us will be on speaking terms. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get big brother to step up and help us out with our mother???

I'm a 15 year old guy, turning 16 next year. My family was well-off in the past but as time passed by, we were having difficulties even paying for the bills. I have a big dream when I grow up and I fear my parents can't support me when I go to college. I was thinking of getting myself adopted to a rich family to relieve my parents a bit of their burden. What do you guys think of this?

My 2 yr. has just been cleared of heart disease. Because he was on so many monitors, I had him sleeping with me so I could keep a close eye ( and ear ) on him. Now that he's ok, I want him to start sleeping in his own bed. I've tried numerous things and nothing has helped. He screams so much, I've even had to give him his breathing treatment! Does anyone have any helpful tips?

I want to move out my parents house and be on my own but I dont have any income at the moment. It depress me to live here, and I feel the only source of relief would be to leave. I dont know any family member well to just crash with them. All my friends are guys. SO I am kind of alone. I am in school but getting distracted. I would live on dorm but my mom refuse to pay for it. I apply to jobs every night but get no response. I dont know what to do. I am not happy at my home.

Ok, so my sister and I are both about to turn 21 and we live at home. We plan to move out with one of our close friends by january of this upcoming year. The thing is that I made the mistake of telling my mom about our plans and she said, and I quote "So you guys are just gonna leave and not help me out with paying rent?" I then told her that I didnt like where we live and wanted to move out and she had the nerve to say "So you are gonna help other ppl with rent rather than helping me??" Now, I know that it seems kind of mean to let her deal with her own rent problems and leave but the thing is that she has always been dependent on her children or on my dad for money. Im tired of living with the family but havent been able to move because I needed to help her out. She has no job and she doesnt even plan on getting one!!! Are we wrong if we leave her behind?? (if we do she will be depending on my brother). I REALLY NEED UR OPINIONS!!! THANKS!!

Did you find out your father wasn't your biological father?
If yes, how old were you when you found out/were told?
How did you react? Did you love your father less since then?

My son is now 4 and I am not his biological father. I am with his mom since she was 6 months pregnant. Am raising and loving him as my own son. It would really hurt me if he would change his way towards me if he would know he didn;t come from me.

What would be the right age to tell him. he is so sensitive and I don't want him to get hurt. But he needs to know the truth one day. Or should we just never tell him? Please only serious answers.

I am 17, and I will turn 18 next November 30. But I am incredibly nervous because I have a terrible relationship with my single mother. If I make the slightest mistake, (misplacing a magazine in the house, not picking up the tiny piece of cilantro on the green lettuce-print table cloth because it blended in, etc.) she goes INSANE and screams, gets violent and says she can't wait until the day I turn 18 so I can get the hell out. I have driven myself CRAZY - obsessively scanning every nook and cranny in the rug, on the tablecloth, counters, to make sure I leave everything PERFECT. I spend 5 minutes after I leave ANY room at all turning on ALL the lights so I can look at the counters from every angle possible so I don't miss anything, and yet I always seem to miss something! My mom still thinks I "don't give a sh!t"! I can't stand living in all this pressure and I want to be ready to move out on my next birthday. how do I survive on my own w/o joining the army or being really poor?
