Tell them fine, you'll quit your job, move back in with them and they can totally support you for the rest of your life.

you are going to have to seperate yourself from them sooner or later. You should move a bit farther away so that they can not just drop in or drive by. Also, get caller ID and choose when you want to answer their calls. You are old enough to make your own decisions without worring if they are going to be upset. Also, tell them you can no longer take personal calls at work and that they will have to leave you a message at home or on your cell during work hours. Start to seperate yourself from them and keep them on a "need to know basis" - they will eventually get the message that you are an adult and will rely on them when you want to but that they need to live their lives on their own too.

If you are still living in their home, their persistent nagging and not allowing you to live as an adult is normal.

You should consider moving out but still staying near enough to have amiable contact with you parents. Sometimes leaving the nest can create healthy distance and save the relationship with your parents.

Your an adult so don't be affraid to move on.

It sounds to me like your parents just want what's best for you. They are probably very overprotective and only want what's best for you. Sometimes they just have a really weird way of showing that they care. They think the only way to get their point across is to yell at you. They don't realize that it really just pisses us off! They do care if they hurt you...they just don't want you to hurt yourself. Just listen to what they have to say...and try to understand where they're coming from. Don't take everything to heart though. Brush it off. They'll feel better knowing they said something about whatever was bothering them.

Do you still live with them ? If so it will never change until you move out. That should be your next goal.

if you live under their rood, they are gonna say whatever they please. remember, their house, their rules. so i would suggest that if you want to continue having guys over, you need to move and get ur own space. at 27, you might wanna consider getting ur own private space.
