OK so my mom and my dad are divorced and I go to my dad's house on every Wed. for like 3 hours or something and then every other weekend is his. My dad did not get remarried but my mom did. So now I have a half brother which is almost 4. I have been doing the whole weekend thing since I was 4 and I loved going there. But now for some reason, I don't. I just like to stay here with my brother and stuff. I love my dad I just don't want to spend weekends over there. I mean I do but I just want to come home at night and sleep in my mom's house on my bed. I don't know what to do. My dad is 49 (shut up I know he is old) and I am 12. I don't know what to do! HELP!!!!!!!!!

I am loving my boy friend since last 3 years very sincerely. 3 months ago my elder brother saw me with my bf. He advised me to leave my bf otherwise he'll report to my parants. If he say my parants, they will stop me from going to my college and will arrange for my marriage. My bf is so good and clever. He tried to speak to my brother some times. But my brother threatened to kill my bf. How do I let my brother understand out love?

I have always grown up in a christian home and although I respect the whole marriage and then have children I have discovered that I am pregnant an not married!+ the fact that I am still quite young and working in a fulltime job. I dont know how to tell anyone in my family especially my mom and dad!-an then theres my big brother and sister who are just gonna have a fit. I am in a 2 years+ relationship with my partner which is going alrite at the moment. I mean even his mom knows about the baby but she is absolutely over the moon about things and cant wait until he or she is born. I know that my mom will probably feel that way once she has calmed down but I just dont know how to break it to her. I feel i cant really say it to her face and Ive thought about using the phone but any way I look at doing it, it has to be done because this is just adding extra stress on my head which I just dont need.-so please I wel

The Vicks advert, the one with the screaming kid. Why the hell does his 'mother' not make him pick up the things he has just thrown on the floor when he has his tantrum?
I know it's only an advert, but to me it is a reflection of what is wrong with some parents today and the way they discpline their children.

We are a joint family. After my brother got married his wife wants to live seperately. which they lived seperately in the first floor and afterwards they left for usa. We are staying in ground floor. My father has died, my mother and also elder brother. I was looking after my mother and elder brother, and another brother. I hv took them to the hospital whenever some incident takes place. Has my brother's wife (usa) was staying at chennai. We all four has shifted to chennai. My wife got angry because when they are very much here why they hv not keeping the another brother who was staying with me for two or three months. She started abusing him whatever he earns he gives to me and spent also. She also wants to get the share which was evenly distributed. She does not want my brother to live with me, so he was with another brother (usa) who is staying here. After that what my brother has said abt me and her they have not talked to me nor chatting with me.

I had a aurgument wit bro-n-law on thankgiving which got out of controll. I asked bro-n-law outside 2 settle the disagreement, stupid to do. Then I got up 2 walk out side and bro-n-law hit me n back of head. Wen I turn around father-n-law held me while bro-n-law hit me many times. I assuming father-n-law was trying 2break d fight but am unsure, as he held me the 1 beeing hit instead of his son whom was doing d hitting. The fighting stopped & insults between me & d bro-n-law where exchanged. I then told my wife lets go home & was holding my 5mth old son & walking to car & out of no where d father-n-law ran outside knocked our babys carrier onto d ground & started hitting me , I tried to hold him as I didnt want 2 hit him but he kept swinging. At this point my wife told him 2 stop & den either by accidental punch or on purpose my father-n-law hit my wife whom now has a swollen blackeye. den father-n-law said he was going to call police & lie by saying I hit 1st to have me arrested.

I am a really giving person. Even though my life is chaotic with running a business, raising a 5 month old. and just dealing with the daily stresses of life I continue to put myself in a hole by helping people. When I have no time at all to finish what I need to do with my family or business people ask me for favors which can be very time consuming, Sometimes more then four hours at a time. I don't expect anything in return for helping family out but I am starting to get annoyed by people that I help not at least acting appreciative. I know that none of my friends or families would spend hours at a time helping me with trivial things. Why can't I say no and just worry about my own issues and family? Why are people so unappreciative? For example: (fixing peoples computers, looking for flights, research cheapest prices on web, buying a crib in the classifieds etc....) There is a lot more then that involved but I won't get to much more into it.

she is an older adult, (late 40's). I am the younger sister by 7 years. We are all sure she is mentally ill. She inflates things, (really inflates), to have a reason to blow up, and yell. Then, when she has that going, she tells her kids, and family bad things about me, (and my immediate family). Okay, so that already happened 6 months ago. He daughter had a meltdown because I included her in our family tree, (she didn't like her information posted all over the internet,_it wasn't_, and threatened to sue me). I then refused to have contact with the crazies. So two days before Thanksgiving, My husband gets a call from my Nieces husband saying that (My mother told my sister, who told her daughter, who told her husband, and then called my husband), my husband told me, and I told my mother that my niece needed anger management class. My mother said it, not me. My sister then used this as a reason to skip out on Thanksgiving. She said it was because of me. How do I get her to keep away?

Recently, my mom passed away of Pneumonia at Singapore General Hospital and as I'm the only son, I feel extremely sad and disappointed. She's 59 years old and I am 23. My 64-year old father too cannot believe what just have happened and have not come to face the reality yet. I have not been eating much since then. Our small 2-room rental flat is in a mess since only my mother do the household chores. We know nuts about household chores! Please, users of Yahoo Answers, what can I do to overcome this extreme grief? Is there any way of healing the pain of my lost mother? Like a free counseling session or financial/cleaning assistance?? Thank you!

Although I am very sad about it, their relationship was awful. He was physically and emotionlly abusive with her and he was a heavy drug user. He died of an acute infection and his death was unexpected (23 yrs old) and has two young children from another relationship. My sister is very much their surrogate mother, because their real mum is also a heavy drug user. I know this sounds horrible, but I can't really feel sad about his death because of how he treated my sister. I don't really know how to approach this situation.

If you have very good source of income at abroad and you are the only son and could earn in your home country decent enough but not able to save anything. You fear how would u cope if an unexpected huge expenditure come on you. But u dont want to leave ur parents alone, nor u can accomodate them overseas.

Bonjour. I am originally from France, but moved to California 8 months ago to be with my new husband. I have 2 children, aged 14 and 17 and both males. My problem is that my boys hate it here, and they hate my husband, simply because he is American. I never raised them like that, but their father was very anti-American, and there was some very anti-American sentiment by their classmates back in France since the invasion of Iraq, so they must have learned it from these 2 sources. But I have also though that maybe they are mad at me for remarrying. But I don’t know what to do. They say they want to go back to France and live with their father, but he was abusive and I now have soul custody. They really hate it here though. They refuse to speak English, although they have a very good knowledge of the language. I have them enrolled in a French school in Los Angeles, but their grades are terrible, but they used to be perfect students back in Lyon. They are always fighting with their step-father and calling him horrible things when my husband does nothing but treat them nice. Now I find that they are getting very depressed. I can’t even get them to talk to me very much anymore. They say they are angry with me for bringing them here. I have no idea what to do. I can’t let them live with their father, but I was thinking of sending them to live with my sister in Paris or my mother in Lyon, but that does not solve their hatred for this country and the people here. I feel overwhelmed by this situation. I love my children, and I want them to live with me, but I don’t know how to fix this situation that I am in. My boys were perfect children, but now they have changed dramatically. Please help me!

Greetings,
While reviewing the gust list for my son's 13th birthday party I asked about a few kids I did not know. He invited one girl because she was hot. Then we came to this boy, he sayed he did not really know him but he is of a different faith then us. I tryed to tell him that bigotry is wrong and to invite this kid because of his different faith is just as wrong as not inviting him. I don't think he got the concept. Any suggestions on how to explane this to a future teen ager. His concern is that he will be called a racist or something along those lines.

She is 11, we have joint custody with the mom, she yells at her all the time and tells her she should just go live with us, but then won't really let her. My stepdaughter tells us ALL the time that she hates it there, and wants to live with us, but that she doesn't want us to do anything because her mom will get mad at her. When they argue, she tells her mom that we said she can come live with us whenever she wants the mom gets angry and asks why, and my stepdaughter won't tell her all the reasons she tells us, because she knows she will get in trouble by her. So the mom just thinks we are trying to take her for no reason and calls and yells at us all the time and tells us to quit talking sh** about her all the time.I feel like she is mentally damaging her by constantly yelling at her and hanging up on her, what can and should we do about this?

I live 4 hrs. away from my parents. Christmas is coming & my Mom has to work on that day, unfortunately. I begged her to ask for a vacation or a day-off on that day but it seemed like she rather work that day then to spend it with her immediate family. I hate the fact that she is a workaholic & her job has always been her number 1 priority.
