I work 12 (9 and 10 hr) days in a row. I haven't time for my friends, church or myself. Should I be made to feel guilty because I don't see the grand kids enough?

Ok, this started awhile ago. I have been going to my dad's every weekend since I was a small child. I am 17 now. Anyways, lately I have been busy on Saturdays (since it is my senior year...homecomings, act, ect....) He told me " I understand that you are getting older and you don't want to come over as much" that is not the case at all!!!! So he recently got his phone shut off and he nolonger has an email. I have wanted to go over for a few weeks now and he has made no attempt to call me. I know for a fact that he finds a way to get my little brother (from a dif. mom) . I don't understand why he ditched me like this. do you???

I want to drop out of college.
The main reasons are, the course is too difficult, there is too much work than what i can handle, and i feel that college isnt for me just yet as i dont know what i want to do as a career.

Ive told my mum that i want to leave and find a job and work for a year, that way i can think about what i want to do, get some cash and gain some experience.
She has gone off on one saying its a mistake, i shouldnt do it, i wont get back in ect

But i want to go back to college once i know what i want to study.
Anyone have any ideas of what i could say to her that will make her understand a little more?

She's really making bad choices. No health insurance, no car insurance on a brand new car she received for graduation. My question is, as a mom should I intervene and point out all her mistakes to show her that she's making her life harder on herself, or just leave it alone and let her fall? I hate to see that happen tho.

and should we tell them that we're getting married abroad before we go?

In particular, I'm worried about my partner's step-daughter (she's six, she lives with her mum and she's a really girlie girl who would love to be a bridesmaid).

We can't afford a big wedding and neither of us want to have to deal with a family get together on our special day. So we've booked a trip to New York & r going to have a super quick civil wedding there. Although a trip to New York is quite extravagent, it's much cheaper and simpler than a big wedding would be and it's the way we want to get married.

I just don't know what the best thing is to so that our parents and my soon-to-be step-daughter don't feel rejected. Advice, anyone?

Feeds him M&Ms and ice cream all day, drives 30 mins to get McDonalds which he then won't eat, he HITS people and animals and she just laughs and says isn't he cute, he's three, my mom has aged 10 years since they moved in (without asking I might add, and without paying rent). The house is a pigsty, he's written all over the walls with permanent markers, he chased my mom with a knife yesterday, but Sister is very touchy and can be quite vicious when confronted.... Grandma doesn't want to offend... I want to smack the kid and my sister (not necessarily in that order!!!) She is returning to work and leaving the little guy with grandma next week, I fear for my mom's safety (she is 71). I have a 10 week old and a life of my own and can't be there 24/7.

Just venting I guess but any constructive ideas WELCOMED!!! I'm at the end of my rope (and grandma's too!!) and she is planning to stay here for at least six months, WE NEED HELP

Do you feel like time goes by quicker now that you have grown up/gotten older?

I feel like time is running by at rapid speed now that I have grown up a little. I am 17 years old. It seemed like I was 12 the other day. What happened? It also seemed like it was 2000 just the other day. This last couple half decade have just come and gone as easily as urine down the tiolet. You see it one time, you look back and it's gone. I remember when I was a kid a year really felt like a year. Now it feels like a week. Just a week ago I was a freshman in High School not taking anything serious. But at the turn of a switch now and I have so many worries. What I'll do after high school, where I'll live without momma, getting a car, getting a job, preparing the wya for my kids, nothing worrying about childess beefs and drama, and looking for a serious relationship when back when I was younger all I wanted was sex. It's like I had absolutely no worries back then but issues just caught up.
