is that a good gift she loves horses and she took them when she was 13 but my daughter in law thinks its to expensive but her 5 year old daughter is going to take lessons so i thought it whould be a good idea

I think it's a great idea. I grew up riding horses, and there is nothing like it. My youngest son took lessons, and he loved it. He entered his first horse show at the age of 5. He had only been riding for 3 months and still came in 4th against students that had been riding for 2-3 years. If she likes horses you couldn't get her a better gift.

Well, I don't know your family, so I can't answer your question.
I do however know that if you can afford it without outting yourself out too much, then you should go for it. Just make sure it's either on the same night, at the same ranch type of deal, or someone can look after her daughter. Every young women loves horses!!!!

If you think it would be a good gift for your daughter, go ahead. I think it is a nice, thoughtful gift and I'm sure she will be happy.

Your daughter-in-law can give your daughter what she wants for her birthday, you can give her what you want to.

I personally think it is a great idea as lessons provide invaluable experience....why did she stop taking them?
