Now that digital cameras are a dime a dozen, and the cameras can hold a thousand pictures at a time, almost, do you find that you are snap happy? I'm forever taking pictures of my lil guy, and I don't get rid of too many. I figure that I didn't have this many pics of myself as a child, and I sometimes wish I had. I dunno.. am I crazy??

I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. They like to play make-believe a lot but lately I get tired of a certain sort of play they do. They start off with a story and want me to be a character in the story. That much is OK. But they they do this "OK mommy now say this" "OK mommy now say that." and if I try to make up my own part of the story they say "no, you're supposed to say this."

I played it for a week or two and now I'm really not into it and have told them I don't want to play it quite like that any more. I would rather either let all of us make up our own parts or play a different game.

I also noticed that last time my daughter's friends were over she tried to do that to them and it ended up with everyone being frustrated.

I'd rather play kitchen or trains or play with their other toys. I don't want to keep her from using her imagination but I don't know how to play in this way without getting annoyed.

Any feedback?

I tried scoping out this internet dingy for a similar question and found nothing more than whiny little teenagers complaining about how much they hate their family and want to leave and live with their puppy love significant other.

Well I'm 29 and with the exception of one brother, I don't hate my family. I just don't feel any attachment. They mean well and I know they love me, but I just don't feel happy around them.

Holidays have just felt like obligations that I apparently have to become the good son and go visit. I hate this culture of family always. I must "love" my brother? Why? Movies preach on, how miserable the non-family man is. I feel miserable going to see them. Why is it I'm the bad guy.

My own personal relationships just seem to be constantly hampered by my personal unhappiness around them.

Am I really that wrong for wanting to split away?

Even now I'm trying to think of a way to avoid Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We've always had our grievances.
she is jealous of me, I was the homecoming Queen, I married a rich man, I adopted to sweet girls, ...and she is forever making rude remarks to me.
No matter what I say or do, she doesn't like my friends, my kids do wrong, and she thinks I talk, and laugh too much.
When we both go home to visit Mother, she thinks that I get all the attention, and not her.
I really want to be close to her.
I've aplogized over and over again about what I have done wrong.
She I just ignore her now? Should I send her flowers? She lives 6 hours from me, so I can't just go there.
We are suppose to fly down together soon to visit Mother, and I am dreading it!!
what would you do?

I have a feeling that my sister in-law is jealous of me. For one thing, she's 21, married, has a 16th month old daugther, is a house wife with a GED while her husband works full-time in the Construction business and yes, he makes money and is supporting her and their daughter. The thing is, she is jealous in what I have and get from my own husband. I'm 25, married, no children yet, I am a house wife, college graduate and know that when I got engaged my husband had bought and given me a really nice engagement ring worth a lot while the engagment ring she got from her own husband was decent, but not as good as mine. She used the word "jealous" in a sentence like, "April, I am SO jealous of you and I sure do love your engagement ring!!" Her husband was nice enough to buy her a ring that he could afford from Sears while my husband bought me a ring that he could afford from a place you don't need to know.

My wife says that my family is not normal because we dont have alot of arguements when we are together. She thinks there is something is just not right. It is causing alot of strife between me and her. She is from a family that seems to argue each time we see them. I stay out of the fights and she gets mad at me when I dont take her side. I dont like to argue and that is all me and her seem to do because she does not let me be me. When my family gets together we enjoy it alot more when she is not there. I have two kids and they argue all the time and I want to change it,but I have no support because she thinks it is normal. HELP

I'm having some insecurities about what kind of personalities that my mother in-law is attracted to. Take my sister in-law for an example. She's 21, married, has a two year daughter and she's 24/7 drama queen. She needs sympathy every min of each day from our mother in-law whenever she's not feeling good. She loves the attention that she gets and likes to sabatoge my relationship with our mother in-law. On the other hand, I'm 5 years older than her, I come from a different cultural background where I'm very quiet and I'm pretty much a reserved person. I only talk to certain people that are in my life. Seem like everyone likes my sister in-law cause she's dramatic, immature, but out going while I'm older, mature, but a quiet and reserved person. But then, my husband, my family and my closet friends loves me for who I am and hate the personality that my sister in-law has. So I guess I shouldn't have to change for who I am as me .. such as my personality and stuff.

My 42 yr old uncle has been living with my grandparents. He got divorced and lost his truck driving job of 17 years. He moved in until he could get on his feet, that was 2 years ago. We have suspected for a while, but recently found out that he is on cocaine. He lies to eveyone, won't get a job, has used every excuse in the book as to why he can't find a job (always the employers fault), and is always borrowing "gas" money from my grandma. He doesn't even own a vehicle. He is totally free loading off of her. We have told her she needs to kick him out or at least stop giving him money, but she is the type who would help out anybody no matter what. My grandpa just passed away in April and grandma is in serious financial problems, mostly because of my uncle. She is still in good health but stressed to the max and it's wearing on her bad. My uncle is making no effort whatsoever to get on his feet. How can we tell my grandma to cut him off & take care of herself?

Not sure where to begin, but I've been late on my menstrual period. Well, my last period was from Aug 4th to Aug 8th. I was suppose to start my next period last Thursday, which was the 23rd day. Today is the 29th day. The important thing is that I have been really stressed out in mid August about something you don't need to know, but I was. I did some research about late period or missed period and most often that doesn't mean a women is necessary "pregnant." Whenever I mention it to my mother in-law she'll jump to conclusion that I am pregnant and what make me even more stressed out is that she has to share the news with my sister in-law who I dislike a lot and isn't related to my husband. She's just married to his younger brother and has a child and keep using a pregnancy test every other day thinking she's pregnant. She's just a drama queen and is artificial. Anyways, my husband and I aren't ready to have a child yet, but how I would I deal with my mother in-law?
