I currently have 1 child I care for 2 days a week. Thursday, I have a child starting part-time 2 days a week. My husband and I are going to be starting counseling for marital issues next week. We are in a financial bind right now. No real debt, but not alot of spending money left after bills. I have the opportunity to drive a minivan for school kids 5 days a week, about 1 1/2 hours in the morning and 1 1/2 hours in afternoon. I would make about $800 more and could take my kids with me. My husband is leary because of bad weather, getting kids out, and being tied to a job where now I could just tell the parents I am going to need such-and-such day off a month ahead of time. I was planning on doing preschool in my home with my kids because of being able to save money. I got an inquiry about 2 more children my own daughter's ages (4 and 2), but my husband is worried about me having too many kids and something getting messed up. I currently make $450 per month with 2 kids.

I have a little brother who is incredibly annoying and a dad who is incredibly lax. My brother is not just annoying but harsh, and my dad doesn't care about us much. Hes a work aholic and his response when we want to do something with him is, "someone has to be the responsible one."

This is child #4, the baby, the last one. She wears panties, and never wets, but will not poop in the potty. This results in a lot of messy panties. Very frustrating! She's 33 months, been using the potty for almost a year.

Last Christmas my hubby got me a really nice digital camera that I had been wanting. I take pictures throughout family functions, as do most of the other family members. My SIL (sister-in-law) is constantly trying to take my camera and run off with it to take her own choice of pictures(she's 27 yrs old).I can be mid-shot and she'll say "let me see your camera" or "here, let me take pics". This gets EXTREMELY annyoing and I find it very rude. My husband and I often discuss what kind of photos we'd like to get and I strive to get those, get others, and enjoy the family. Her household income is more than quadruple that of ours and she could easily afford to get herself an equal or greater quality camera, but does not. I have several times offered to help her pick out one to suit her needs. She has her own camera right now, and never uses it claming the "memory is full"( it doesn't take as good pictures) And she NEVER does this when hubby is by my side. I don't want to be rude.

My daughter left today and she will be gone until Saturday or Sunday. Where she's going, is only an hour and a half away. When she told me that she loved me, I lost it, right in front of her and I started crying. She's been away before, but not this long, I feel like i'm being ridiculous.

she is out of control... She constatly ridiculs, badgers and name calls my two sons ages 16 and 8. She calls them out at family or social gatherings with name calling (gay, fag, retard, phsyco etc) pushing, hitting etc. My sons have been taught never to hit a female period. Nor would I ever tolorate bullying, name calling etc. Therefore, my sons are wondering how to handle these situations with her?
We all live together he has 4 daughters, I have 2 sons (we have lived together for just a couple months) We have had family discussions and approached these situations to no avail? I am at a lost as to what to do? I love my fiancee but my children come first? I have tried to speak with him about disapline but he thinks the situation is being over dramatized, he thinks it is normal child bickering? Never have my children been this abuse to each other or other children. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I wrong?

Three years ago, my husband's 2 children came to live with us and we received full custody. The reason for this was that their mother was and still is a crack addict (among other things). She was unable to care for them properly. Since then, we have nothing but problems with her (harrassment, death threats etc.) and have had enough. She has placed the children in dangerous situations repeatedly and won't stop. She has been in and out of jail and is currently waiting trial for armed robbery. She abuses drugs with the kids present and has been involved in physical abuse with boyfriends infront of them. She is a hero in the eyes of the oldest child for some reason and we don't know how to make him see what she really is. She even missed his last b-day to break in to someone's house for drugs. She does however, love her kids very much.
We want to keep the kids safe (obviously) but we don't them to end up hating us for keeping them from her. HELP!!!!!
