As long as it is tasteful then that is fine. It is your way of showing them respect and love, and the fact that you miss them.

If tattoo's are done correctly and in good taste then they are an art form and a way to express yourself.

I have a small and tasteful tattoo with my little grand daughter's name. I had it done when she was born. And after the first couple of months of her life she came to live with me permanently and I have full custody of her. She thinks the tattoo is cool and calls it "her hear" and that it means that she will always be in my heart.
Which is exactly what it was meant to stand for.

I think that that is perfectly fine. I wanna go get a tatoo the says Pee Wee cause that is the name that my dad gave me as a child and I want it for that reason. I thought that if something ever happened to my father that I would have that there forever.

Wrong? No. But did the person have tattoos or even like them? Think about why a tattoo would be your way to remember them... What's the reason? You will always remember them and keep that memory with you... but if you need a physical reminder, why not a necklace or a bracelet with the name... something to pass on to a child or to a relative later on down the road?

written under it, I always thought that was an awesome tribute to him...ps. don't let other people tell you what is right and wrong do what you think would be best

I'm not particularily fond of tatoos. But I think if you're into them - it would be fine to have a tasteful tatoo of your family members name....in memory

No it is not wrong; it is a nice way to remember them as long as the tatto is not tacky. Some people even get tattoos of people they haven't lost, like their kids names, just to help show how much they love them.

No tattoo that you want is wrong.

My son died two years ago. He needed a new heart, but smoked, so couldn't get one. He was 15.

I've finally thought of the tattoo I want. You know those pictures and jewelry where a mom is with a kid, and they are real stylized, sorta stretched out round blobs with no straight lines?

I'm going to get a big one handing a smaller one a heart. Not a human heart, a valentine type heart. (I would have given him mine if they'd have let me!)

Here's the general feeling I'm thinkin of:

Well kinda, if u loved them so much everytime u look at it you get sad and can't speak coz it hurts to breath...gonna cry so soon.

It's best to know that...they are always in ur heart, your life is based on ur pasted and present and furture so you have had them in your past and thinking about them in ur present and always gonna remember them in the furture.

That what counts...love them and still care for them and know they always did and respect them even if they are not round.
I wish you a great life and so you can move on with your life without forgeting ur love ones.
Good luck and take care...Smile/**

Maybe their initials in small and pretty script letters on your shoulder? That way, they're always "watching over you."

To take it step further...some people have had the tattoo artist mix a little bit of their loved one's ashes into the ink. Maybe too extreme for some--but for others, it's a meaningful, tribal kind of thing.
