We took zillions of them when our first daughter was born, when the second one came along, I was so busy (two under two!) I didn't take as many. But we got a really nice digital camera and now we all take tons of pictures. I really love the fact that I can delete the bad one though...

It is always different when you are a parent. I remember thinking geeze why did they take all these pics for but when it comes down to it, it's nothing compared to what I take of my children now. They are all too happy to pose for the camera anyways!!!
Snap away girl otherwise when they are older you will think back and wish you had captured that moment to share with them when they are older. It would be nice to be able to sit and look at all your hard work when they are older and being able to laugh about it. Or even to pass it down to your grandchildren - pictures are priceless!!! It's the memories! They are timeless!

Yeah, that is pretty common,,,,,, with the first child. When the second child comes along you won't have as many pics, you won't have the time, or you will be worrying about them and forget the camera, there's always something...
Were you and only child or a younger sibling???? If you were a younger, then what I just said explains why you don't have many photos of yourself as a child. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

no your not crazy I say take as many as you can afford to. They are memories and that means that when they get older they will have a lot of pictures to see how happy they were and the different things that they liked doing.

Yes, it is constant! Kinda sad, actually! But then again, I am a photographer professionally too, so I find it soothing to take pictures of something I love vs. something I HAVE to take pics of.

NOPE, not at all. My mom didn't take pictures of me and my siblings except at Christmas and Birthdays...now when we go back and look at pictures...we don't have very many to look at. "Well there I am at my birthday party.......annnnnnd there's Christmas.....and Oh look, my next birthday!" Very boring.
And don't always take "happy happy joy joy" pics either. When they play in your purse and have your lipstick all over their face...or jump in the mud in their brand new suits or dresses...take pictures of that too. Those are the one's that make the best memories.

Lol, I have thousands of photos of my 3 boys on the computer right now. I try to archive them as much as possible but they accumulate. I only wish I got around to printing them more than I do.

I try to take at least one picture a day of my son.
And when the memory card fills up I burn a CD, label it, and delete all the pics from the mem. card and fill it up again!
