i do, when i was 4, i like to sneak into the kitchen at night while everyone is asleep and scoop spoonfuls of milk or chocolate powder into my mouth and savor the taste slowly.... I like the feeling of the milk/chocolate powder melts in my mouth! heehee....

Aren't all babies cute? Why do people pass out and keel over like they've ssen one of the seven wonders of the world when they see a mixed baby? My sons are Chilean, and they are very fine, handsome boys. But, when people see my white friends half black children, they act like they've just seen Jesus. What is the fascination? They are kids, like any white, black, chinese, whatever. Even when the kid is ugly people will just go on and on just because it's mixed. It's stupid.

I have a 5 year old daughter that doesn't seem happy unless we are fighting with eachother, it doesn't matter if its over brushing her teeth in the morning, or buckling her seat belt. I don't want to fight with her, but she has to do certain things. I usually walk away before we fight, but sometimes, I am sure she just does these things to irritate me and make me fight with her. Any suggestions?

My younger sister just asked me to do an essay for her. She does this a lot and I always help her but today I'm just not in the mood and I've had enough. She says she has a test comimg up and needs time to study. That's why she can't do this one by herself. Although I'm free to do it I said no I just can't do it any more. Now I feel bad. Am I selfish for not helping her?

For the longest time, I've been having difficulty convincing my mother that I'm not her little baby anymore.

When I turned 15 it took me half a year for me to convince her to let me stay out past 8 with friends.

When I turned 16, and got my permit, I thought she finally understood that I've grown up. Alas, my assumption could not be more wrong. Now, months later, even with my permit, she is afraid to let me drive, regardless of the fact that she is sitting in the passenger seat, and is fully supervising me.

Now, on the eve of my 17th birthday, I have yet to have any driving expirience. And to top that off, she refuses to let me go out with my older friends who have thier driving liscences.

I understand that they worry about me, but they can't seem to grasp that no matter what I do or where I go, there are always risks. It's not like I'm doing something sketchy or unhealthy;I'm spending good, clean time hanging out with responsible friends.
How can I convince them them to let go?

My in-laws ALWAYS invite the whole family over whenever we visit them, and I find it very overwhelming.

We don't spend any one-on-one time with anyone, we just spend long meals together as a group (2-3) hours.
Since it always seems to be someone's birthday or a holiday, there are always "We love you" and "Our family is so special because..." speeches.
I feel like everyone is going to join hands and sing Kumbaya, or something!

On the other hand, people almost never ask each other "How are you?" or "What's new?", because they are focussed on the family as a whole, not on the individuals within it.
I feel like a participant in a cult, where the members don't matter, only the cult. It grates on my nerves -- am I wrong to feel this way?

How often do I have to visit them each year? How often do YOU visit? I know that this varies depending on distance and culture, so please state your country or culture (if you don't mind) and how far you live from your in-laws.
