Problem is 2 years is a long time - you need to find out who the Solicitors were and if there was a Will. Probably too late to get anything as probably been distributed to who ever was named in the Will. Go to Citizens Advice Bureau they should be able to help for free.

I would be concerned that to persue anything associated might come at a cost in being stuck with bills this relative might owe. I would think that you would have an estate sale.

.COULD BE TO LATE TO DO ANYTHING. REGARDING A WILL GO TO YOUR LAWYER AND EXPLAIN THEY WILL PUT YOU ON THE RIGHT PATH.
LETS HOPE THE RELATIVE HAD NO HIDDEN DEBTS. THAT WOULD BE A BIG OUCH FOR YOUR HUBBY AND HIS BROTHERS.
