What do you mean by "intercaste" marriage?

I have a rational answer to this...

It is in the Human nature to live in groups and to support it, the easiest way is to remain in the same cast, culture, geography, colour, language etc. This in turn gives rise to the uncertainty of adaptability with inter cast marriages and social acceptance. We do not like to change our basic habits, life style, culture because of the new member in our group/family. We are not bothered weather we are improving ourselves or not. All we care is our standing in our respective group.

If we look at it scientifically, the more diverse the group is, the more evolved it will be. But we still cannot accept it.

I think this is the basic reason... Hope it answers you question :)

because it mindset of people. and they way they brought up. Moreover main reason for this is economical condition . If people has enough resource to live then they never bother about this so called society and who is opposing it . If you shift a new place there you get help since they are new to you here you do not worry of anything but where u brought of it is big problem . Some times you change the place then everything Will be alright and people will accept you later

Dear friend,
Being in 21st centuary dosen't mean that people should accept inter caste marriages. It depends on the parents of the couples how they cope up with their relatives & society's pressure. There are lot of things to be considered in such marrieages especially the couples who will get married as their life will change and have to face a new atmosphere around them.

its an ego friend.

let it be any cast, they say they are special.
even the lowest cast like the sweepers, when a male and female falls in love. they start to say .... we should not allow this as the girl is from lower cast.

its a ego, of elders, trying to boost, what they dont have, first of all they dont have real culture, if they really had one, they will not do some many things which I should not say here......one example, when a bride and bride groom spends the first night , early morning elders peep into their bed room ...what a great culture....lol

forget about marriage which is a long-term commitment, people don't even accept some social practices of other castes, races - I feel with time people in general are becoming more self-centred and too much self-conscious
