I'm married and I still talk to my X. We had a very intese relationship 6 yrs ago and I guess we never lost touch. Is it bad that I think about him sometimes. How he is etc? I loved him so much and it's hard to just throw that out. Can this relationship lead to trouble or can we be friends as we had such an intense and long history together?

I dont understand people I asked which type of phone would be suitable for an 11 yr old boy who will be walking home from school for the first time ever, I want him to be incontact with me incase of emergencies from the time he leaves school and the time he gets to his house, you wouldnt beleive the answeres I recieved, why answer questions if you are going to judge me as a parent maybe we wouldnt have so many pregnant teenagers if we new where our kids were and had communication with them when they are out of our sites. Why are people so damn rude on here when someone tries to ask a legitimate question it turns into basicaly what a bad mom I am.

Ok-I just turned 21 years old and we went out and partied on July 15th. It is now August 24th and I would like to go out again! I haven't been out since July 15th. My husband & I have a small child and when we have a babysitter, I would like to go out and have a drink. He will not let me go out on my own and uses the excuse for not going out is that I am a mother and I should settle down. I am only 21 years old-I believe that I am a good mother. I spend time with her everyday. But sometimes you just need a break. What should I do?

Come from a family of five;four girls, one boy who is the youngest.I am the youngest girl and i always seem to be considered last in everything.Firstly, here in Africa, having many children gives you a high status, more esp if they are boys, meaning, boys were, and in most cases, still are considered more important than girls.I live with my Dad and, ofcourse, the eldest is treated like a jewel. So is the 2nd born coz she's doing so well in school. It's always surprised me how the 3rd seems to get away with many things and when i do less offensive things,i'd always get beaten up or shouted at!I'm 18 now and Dad feels no shame at shouting at me in public(not to mention that he no longer shouts at the others). The 3rd born recently got pregnant and Dad hasnt so much as even politely lectured her.I feel awful and as though i have no place in this family. The youngest, being a boy is always favoured while i've to practically beg for the things i need. How do i deal with this so it doest affect my future?

Last Monday I was making plans to hang out with friends, I was just finishing up a call as I walked to the dinner table. I was in the middle of saying, see you in an hour, when my dad started yelling at me about how "incredibly rude it is of me to bring a phone to the table." For record I had never taken my cell to the table before.

Then, the very next day, at dinner, he reached over to the main phone and started calling his parents. I said "That's way rude." He got really mad at me and said I had no right to say that and it was in no way rude.

The next night he decided he wanted to watch the news during dinner, while we all sat at the table. Who's wrong in this situation? Was it wrong of me to call him on what he just said I couldn't do? I'm the youngest of 4 and i'll be out of the house in a few years, should he still be acting like this towards me?

My husband and his ex wife divorced 7 years ago. My in-laws cater to her every need and to the child they had together. Meanwhile since then my husband and I have two other children with us full time. My in-laws bend over backwards for the ex and do not do anything with my husband and I and our other children. They have even said "they love the other child more then any of the other grandkids and she is number one priority on their list" to my face. Now there are two new grandkids that were just married into the family and they are treated better then our other two as well. My husband pays his child support like clock work, and buys her anything she needs to a point. We are very involved with her school stuff as well as activites as we can be since she lives in another state. When is enough, enough? My children are very hurt by the way they are treatedby their grandparents!! When is it time for me to explode on them????
My husband and I have always told his parents how we feel about this and they say "they don't treat them differently". It just pisses me off that one of the children we have at home is their blood and they still treat her like ****! They are the most two faced people I have ever met, they talk so bad about his ex one minute and then the next she walks on water. They did not like her when my husband and her were married, but now they can't get enough of her! And all the ex does is use my in-laws for money!! That is a proven fact and my in-laws know it!

My mother is not elderly yet, but in 15-20 years she will be.

I am her only child and she has no husband/boyfriend.

She has told me before that she plans to live with me when she is too old to take care of herself.

I must be a horrible person because I have a job, a wife and plan to have children and I really don't want to quit my life and stay home to take care of her.

My mom is mean to my wife too, and I doubt my wife would want to live with my crazy mother til she dies.

Is it horrible to plan to put your mother in an assisted living home? I would pay for her living expenses and visit her.

What is a child obligated to do?

My 2 1/2 yr old son was being babysat at his grandmothers recently. When we picked him up, we noticed he was favouring his arm. When we asked him what happened, he simply said Peter booboo. Peter is my brother in law who still lives at home (35 yrs old).

when we brought my son to the doctor, it was determined that he popped his elbow out

The next day Peter called and asked to speak to my son (he has never done this before). We left the phone on speakerphone and heard Peter ask my son if he hates him now. to me this is an admission of guilt.

My mother in law is a widow and so no grandfather to uphold the law within the household.

I dont want my son to be babysat by his grand mother anymore, only to visit when my wife or myself is planning to stay for the entire duration of the visit.

My wife will obide, but is upset by this decision. My mother in law has banished me from her house.

do i stand my ground and protect m y son or give in to my wife and mother in law
