I'm married and I still talk to my X. We had a very intese relationship 6 yrs ago and I guess we never lost touch. Is it bad that I think about him sometimes. How he is etc? I loved him so much and it's hard to just throw that out. Can this relationship lead to trouble or can we be friends as we had such an intense and long history together?

Not once did I see where you mentioned having sexual thoughts about your ex, nor did you mention if you've considered cheating on your current husband. Sometime marriage just isn't possible between two people, but it doesnt mean you can't still be friends, as long as your only friends. If you feel sexually attracted to him still, or he to you, I'd recommend calling it quits, but otherwise enjoy it. He's someone who knows you, your likes, your dislikes...go with the flow! You were apparently friends before you got married...why cant you stay that way?

Obviously, there is a problem if your still talking to an ex boyfriend as a friend while you're married. I question why you even go married in the first place. If anything, you and your husband must only have a marriage in name if both of you are not communicating well to the point that either one of you have to seek for someone else to communicate with outside the marriage. Sorry if what I'm saying sounds old fashion but, your husband should be your main confidant and shouldn't have the need to seek outside your marriage. You may what to consider seeking a divorce.

From experience i can say that you cannot be friends with your ex without it leading to some kind of sexual "booty call". And worse it could lead to re-establishing the relationship. If that is what you want deep down inside, continue doing what you are doing... if you are willing to give your husband a fighting chance. Stop talking to the ex, and focus on the relationship YOU HAVE. Take care and good luck..

Since you still have feelings for your X, it could cause trouble in your marriage. It's tough, but break it off completely. Why did you get married when you're not over your X?

Yes, it can certainly lead to trouble with your current relationship. Maybe you should talk about it with your current partner and they feel about it. If can't talk about then you should probably end the old relationship. It is too risky.

it all depends on the way u think abt him...u wouldnt be asking this ? if u didnt feel guilty...which means u probably think ur doing something wrong.....which MEANS let it go before u destroy the life u have now
