I hear ya. I get nasty comments from girls all day long telling me to cover up in my pic... I happen to like this pic because im at the beach and i love the beach, If anyone actually looked closely at this pic. I look terrible... But still... nasty comments. I think it has something to do with their lack of quality of life. People say nasty things when they feel nasty about themselves. Ignore it sweets... Im on here enough to realize that some people cant say or do anything productive.

there are phones out there that only dial 911 and 1 or 2 # that you can pre program, go to a retail store.
Also you said I few thing the wearnt exactly nice : "we wouldnt have so many pregnant teenagers if we new where our kids were and had communication with them when they are out of our sites. Why are people so damn rude on here" right after you said :"Nothing nice to say dont say it at all?" in this world of many personality's I have learned it the message not the messanger and to take what I need from what people say and leave the rest behind: I do think it is great that you have the insite to keep you child safe (great)

No matter what anyone says about you, you are doing the right thing for your son and that is all that matters! To hell with the rest of the world and there opinions if you know that what you are doing is right!
I totally agree if more parents were involved in their children's lives and actually took the time to find out, who, what , when , where, why and phone number where I can reach you, there would be a whole lot less teen pregnancies and less boys in juvenile detention for causing fights and pulling guns!
The world is going to hell in a hand basket and we have to start improving it, even if it is just one parent at a time!
I commend you for your interest and caring so much about your son! I hope that more mom's and dad's can be the same way and we can make the world a better place to live, one child at a time!
Good luck and God bless!

there are some special people on this site mam.i already contacted yahoo administraters about this. it's not that we are thin skin and if it is thats good. that we don't understand why threre is so much hate, and it's usually because their rambling about whatever they perceived your question to be in their own misguided way. i suggested that they editers read in more and simply delete the ugliness as the world has enough of that. soon the'll come around and find that here people want to help and be helped and they have the kind of questions they would seem to be into more but they insist on harrasment, don't be too upset as they may have been denied or mistreated in their lives. disney has a phone for kids and parents so does sprint, ithink. they have a map allways you know where the baby is. God be with you and your family. p.s. drop a line or two to make yahoo aware of this increasing problem.

I totally agree with you. People can be very nasty but they should look on their own homwfront first before trying to criticize others, I believe you are a very concerned parent to want to keep in touch with your child. you never know when there might be an emergency that your child will need to contact you. Get a prepay phone but make your child understand that the minutes add up fast and if they run out of minutes they can't call you if they would need to, so only use it to call you.

If you're looking for a child friendly phone, verizon wireless has one and i believe cingular has one too. Also Disney Mobile has plans and phones now. They all have heavy duty parental settings where you can pick who is andis not allowed to call your child.
Its always better to be safe. However please remind your son that the phone is NOT to be used or even "shown off" in school as now a days teachers will confiscate the phone.
Best of luck! And ignore the nay sayers and ppl who have nothing nice to say. Obviously they're just out for points if they're not even trying to answer the question. :)

Because some people only feel better when they can make someone else feel bad.
If you are still looking for a phone, Verizon has one that you can program in 3 numbers plus 911 and that is all the child can call.
It only has 4 buttons on it, I thought it was pretty cool

first: get one that is pay as you use or prepaid phone. Hubby got the family plan one, and my daughter kept getting it taken away when he got angry that she went over. I told HIM to get the prepay phone but he didn't listen. 911 will always work on a phone.
Second: I agree with everyone else who replied here. You can't hate 'big brother' (from George Orwell's book "1984") and want big brother at the same time. Ill mannered people will always be around. That's where wars come from.
