My 2 1/2 yr old son was being babysat at his grandmothers recently. When we picked him up, we noticed he was favouring his arm. When we asked him what happened, he simply said Peter booboo. Peter is my brother in law who still lives at home (35 yrs old).

The next day Peter called and asked to speak to my son (he has never done this before). We left the phone on speakerphone and heard Peter ask my son if he hates him now. to me this is an admission of guilt.

My mother in law is a widow and so no grandfather to uphold the law within the household.

I dont want my son to be babysat by his grand mother anymore, only to visit when my wife or myself is planning to stay for the entire duration of the visit.

My wife will obide, but is upset by this decision. My mother in law has banished me from her house.

do i stand my ground and protect m y son or give in to my wife and mother in law?

I live in Indiana around my mom and dad. My mom is EXTREMELY close to my four year old son. The problem is, is that I want to move out of Indiana. Whenever I mention it to my mom, she gets really upset. She has a disease that will eventually kill her and she doesn't want me to move until she dies. Am I being selfish? Should I just wait until later to move? Serious answers only please.

Yesterday we were in the hospital in the doctor's office waiting room they were running around and screaming mostly the 7 year old. I told him repeatively to sit down where the 5 year old would sit down but seeing his big brother wasn't listening why should he have to. They made such a huge scene a doctor came out and yelled at us. I was so embarassed and ashamed of especially my 7 year old. Then once he was in trouble he began to tell me infront of everyone how he was going to get me in trouble someway he'll get me taken away.
Now what exactly is termed as abuse in this world now? Honestly, my hubby tells me they are just kids let them be kids and lets them have everything they want and do whatever they want. To the point where hubby is so sure that IF we ever were to divorce he'd have custody of them. What can i do as far as making them learn I am not going to be ran over. Time out doesn't work, in empty room doesn't work, all the oldest will do is cry hysterically.

of humor. I asked this last night kind of late-got a few GOOD answers and may use them. I have to get my 18 year old son back. I use his computer as it's the only one that goes on-line right now. I hit "switch user" as I usually do. Mr. Funny Man decided to put wallpaper on my screen of a BIG FAT NAKED OLD BIKER LADY. Okay, it was funny BUT paybacks are necessary - especially when they involve your son. Am I right? Anyway, do you have any good sites or ideas of a bad, creepy, gross, funny, strange or outrageous photo I can latch onto to put on his wallpaper while he is at work tonight? I'd appreciate it. Not like I won't do it to him over and over and over - HA HA. So I may use all ideas that are good at some point. I thank you for your sense of humor, wittiness and just sick minds LOL!!

Is it possible for us girls to share with your mom as we do with our girl-friends. Our moms take care of us through out their life's and some of us always maintain distance from them, but like we take care of our friends cand we take care of our mom's too. Can there be a relationship thats beyond that of a mother and daughter? like going clubbing, telling your mom about your life happiness and sorrows, telling her about everything and then listening to her issues and helping her with her life too?

I have a girlfriend that has a 29 year old daughter and she has two children that are 11 and 6
My girlfriend and I are always arguing over her daughter because IMO she will not let her daughter grow up,her daughter does not know how to do anything without getting my girlfriend and/or her Dad involved into whatever she wants to do.
I could give you a lot of examples of how I think her daughter mistreats her two children, but here is just a couple of what I think are bad.
Her house is always such a mess and torn up that the kids don't even have a bed to sleep in,she never cleans up,the kithen usually has food all over the table and floor,as far as I know she just lays on the couch and watches tv or is talking on the phone.
She won't fix her kids anything to eat,she just lets her children fix whatever they can for themselves, and as a result both her children and herself are border line diabets.
I want my girlfriend to at least try and make her daughter do the right thing, but she won't
