No, I don't think that it's too early to teach. Babies and children pick up on a lot of information and will surprise you with what they know. It's good to teach shapes, colors, and all that good stuff. If the baby grabs for a toy (for example, a blue whale) Tell baby, blue whale and she's learning two things then. Talking to your baby/child should be what you do anyways whether it's about the dangers of smoking or how come your it's dangerous to cross the street with out looking both ways. Teaching kids/babies how to be safe is good...so keep up the good work.

Your child is never to young to talk to about anything...........but at this age I doubt that it will have a profound effect on her about the smoking.........she doesn't even know what that is yet. When she is able to talk and understand words then she may associate the word bad with smoke and when she sees someone with the cigarette smoking she will then put the two together and then it will be correlated, but untill then she will not grasp that concept. But it is very healthy to talk to them all the time about anything and everything. Keep talking MOM!

Yes, quite frankly. Wait until she is old enough to even comprehend what you're saying is English before you even think about talking to her about smoking. Better yet, wait until she understand what smoking is. 3 years old would be a wiser age to start.

No, never too soon. But keep your promise to give it up as soon as you start talking to her about it. Smoking, especially second- hand smoke is most cancer causing.
How's that for Motivation?

It's never to early to educate the children of tomorrow. So talk to your daughter about smoking, drinking, drugs, etc. Infints understand you so continue to educate. Excellent Question.

It depends. Do you want her to smoke? If so then yes it is too early. I've read that a baby should not smoke or be around smoke.
