Take him to the nearest vet, they can refridgerate him while you decide wheather you want to cremete, bury or simply dispose of him. It will also give friends and family a chance to come see him one last time. I personally feel cremation is the best option, you can get a discrete little box, you can buy a statue that looks like you dog, and put the ashes in it, or you can buy special jewlery that you can carry around a very small ammount of ashes, wisker or tooth. I recently had this happen with out border collie of 12 years. Contact me if you need more help.
My sympathies

I had a very special dog that died and what I did I buried it and read a prayer out of the bible and make a cross in my back yard for it on its grave.. It was a very sad moment for me. Sorry just an idea for you if it was a special dog to you.

Hey Hottie
First of all I wanna share of deepest condolances, I know what it's like to loose a pet because our dog Max that was 16 years old died Saturday morning July 29th between 8:30am and 9:00am he was pretty old and it really tore me up inside, he was atleast 50lbs. My nefew helped me perpare a place for him, because my husband was at work that day when it happened. The dog we had was a mix (Collie/Retriever).
If you can and know someone that will help you.............perpare a place for him that will be my best advice, it's hard I know what your going through because it has happened to me I had to call my husband at work that day and tell him this.

i know exactly what you are going through right now.
did your dog have a favorite place in the yard? you might want to bury him there and place a small memorial to him at his head. that way you can sit with him whenever you want.
i know this probably sounds morbid right now, but i had a rat terrier almost 6 years and when she died, i had a "memorial service" for her, and buried her beneath her favorite tree. now that is the only tree we have in our yard. i refuse to cut it down, becasue that is Tinys Tree
(may she rest in peace)
prayers be with you as you mourn the loss of your dog.

Aww how sad sorry for your loss! You should bury your dog maybe in the back yard or check the phone book for pet cemetery's in your area.

HOw much did you love him? If a lot. Give him a decent burial and have all his friends over. or creamate. and put him in a shoe box. take him to a river, stream or ocean and disperse his ashes so he travels the world.

i have no idea, but sorry for your loss! when my hamster died i put him in a box and buried him in my garden. Its a nice thing to do for a good friend. I think we should all do it instead of funerals to be honest.

Cry about it and go to your favorite restuarant and eat whatever you want there and hang out with your friends and do something fun. Or you can make a scrap book of him. Just never forget him
