Family - July 2006

People ask me all the time am I indian, pakistani, arab,or from the islands etc or do I have indian ancestors. But everyone in my family looks black and have black features. I look different from the rest of my family (we are black) and I dont really have any of my parents or grandparents features.

My six year old has had to deal with death and loss before. She understands that everything that lives also dies. She actually grasps that concept more than most six year olds that I know. However in the past we have always had warning and it has always been in a situation where she knows the person. If you saw my other post you will know that I just found out today about a death that happened in October. I do not know how to explain to my daughter that this person I have told her so much about and that I know would have loved her never got the chance to know her. That her grandmother that she has heard stories about and has looked forward to getting to know is gone and she will never have that chance. I know I have to tell her. I just do not know how to explain this one to her. Its not a matter of explaining death...I have done that before. Its the situation it is in...and so many months later...

My babysitter works 4 days a week for 7 hours a day from 7pm to 2 am. I have 2 children that are 2yrs and 7months old. My kids go to sleep at 8:30. Sometimes she cooks dinner for them but I normally have them all ready for bed.

My mom wants to go to a Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert next month. She would have to buy the ticket tomorrow. The problem is my dad just left us and we are low on cash. I can tell she really wants to go. I just had a birthday and got 60 dollars. The concert ticket is 50 dollars. Its all the money I have to my name right now beause I lost my job. Should I surprise her with a ticket? Or should I do the practical thing and save my money. Advice please!

hey im a 14 yr old guy..(going on 15).and i dont know what da f888k is wrong with my parents. okay heres the problem...sometimes i like to eat less to stay in shape. and i like to eat at a good time. and not eat dinner at like 9 or 10. get it?...but they eat dinner late sometimes...And they make me eat it at that time!...or and if i dont, they would get rlly mad. They think i dont like the food, and my mom even told me shes not gonna cook anymore bec/ i dispreciate the food!! (that is so not true, she cooks good). I just want to eat at the right time and stay healthy!...but they dont get that!..help me please?!

I'm 20 right now, i have a boyfriend but i have no want or dreams of having children now or anytime in the future. The reason, to me, is simple. I work in the service industry, im also in a kiosk in the mall so i see alot of reasons why i never want kids.
1. MOMMY I WANT...when the 2 year old throws a **** fit because they didnt get what they wanted and either the stupid parent gives them that object or just kinda ignores them making everyone else suffer (i know its hard raising kids but please remember, you wear the pants in the family, not your brats)
2. i refer to the little 10 -15 year olds left alone in the mall to shop; who dress half naked like their older sister or Brittany Spears does PROSTA-TOTS. get it? little pint sized sluts, thanks mom and dad! if i had a kid, and I WILL NOT, he/she isint leaving the house without looking half way decent and without me.
so i guess i can sum it up as 'mini sluts, parents who dont give a ****, and the screaming brats' am i off my rocker?

Income is too high for assistance, but too low to find safe, reasonable shelter. Unemployed adult son with two teens lives with him so home has to be big enough for all of them. Sorry situation that is unlikely to change, but they have been evicted so owner can sell property. Any ideas of where to find housing near schools and jobs suitable for adult son, who is willing to work but unable to drive?

My cousin is retarted and goes to a special class at a high school. and a coach and students keeps making fun of her, calling her big butt to her face,She comes home to her family after school very upset. the school has been told and nothing been done.I know how she feels, cause when i was in school, i was in a special ed class for slow kids.And they called me a retard all the time.Schools are not schools anymore,The staff are there for thier paycheck.Do they really care about the kids anymore?

She signed papers for temporarily guardianship for 4 years. Everytime I call home my little brothers and sister start crying telling me they miss me and I want to be with my family then my mom always complains about me and my brothers and sister are seperating. Basically I can't stay here!! My sister is strict!!
