My mom wants to go to a Crosby, Stills, and Nash concert next month. She would have to buy the ticket tomorrow. The problem is my dad just left us and we are low on cash. I can tell she really wants to go. I just had a birthday and got 60 dollars. The concert ticket is 50 dollars. Its all the money I have to my name right now beause I lost my job. Should I surprise her with a ticket? Or should I do the practical thing and save my money. Advice please!

Get her a ticket.
Money could be found any where, if you took the effort to look for it. She's your mom, she god damn carried you in her stomach for 9 months, so make her happy once with a ticket, and earn your money back when the time comes.
Remember, doing good yields you good return. There's no good return in being selfish or duobtful. No hard feelings intended, it's just my thinking.

Think of all the things your mother has done for you and ask yourself has she ever given up her last few dollars for you! I bet the answer is yes! i would do the unselfish thing and buy her the ticket because it will make her happy and help keep her mind off of the recent breakup!

THis is a choice that you will have to make. If $50 is all you have, I don't think that I would waste it on a concert. I might offer to help your mom with groceries or something worth while.

i think u should buy the tickets because since ur dad just left u shes probably very VERY sad, and it would be a good investment just to cheer ur mom up.

you would probally love to buy it for her to make her happy. she is your mom and all. but you need to worry about your finaces. if you need that money to pay bils cause u dont have a job and dont know when you will get another then i would save it. your mom will understand.

Go and do it for ur mom, she will remember it for ever, money is best spent on a memory........i hope she have fun...........oh and it will help her forget her problems, even if its only for 1 night!
