Life is what you make it. Seriously.

Life is unfair, true. Awful, horrible things can and do happen. People are often rude, uncaring, and mean, even those that are supposed to love you. Sometimes, it seems like nothing will ever go your way and that things will never be okay again. And maybe they never were, either.

However, you can choose how to respond to what life serves up to you. You can choose to turn things around and make good things out of them somehow. You can choose to surround yourself with caring, supportive people instead of those that tear you down. You can choose how you live your life, and determine to have fun, get as much out of it as you can, and to be a better person every day.

You might want to consider consulting a counselour for input on how your attitudes are holding you back, and to get a start on a new set of attitudes and a new world view!

Blessings and good luck to you!
Life really is worth living!!

Have you considered that you might be making yourself miserable by believing in some type of higher power that is suppose to mystically come down and make you happy? Try pursuing something that you really like doing by first going on to a related forum. Forget about a god right now, you need to concentrate on your friends, family, and especially your own happiness rather then feeling inadequate all the time in comparison to some god that does not show itself, speak, talk, or make you feel happy.

Life can be miserable at times and other times it is GREAT!!!! God helps us through it all even when we don't think He is there He is. God is not going to make us do anything we are free moral agents to do as we please. I don't know whats going on in your life right now that has got you feeling so miserable but hang on and never give up it could always be worse. I will remember you in my prayers tonight.

I really hate some of the answers I see here, because none of knows WHY you feel that way and maybe you have a right to, who's to say. One thing I can tell you is "This, too, shall pass." The good times don't last, but thank God, the bad times don't last either. Hang in there and one thing for sure is, things will change, even though it may be so hard to see right now. Wish I could hug you. xoxo

God helps those who help themselves.

If your life is miserable, then try to improve your life. I find the more I complain about how miserable my life is, the more miserable it feels. It's like a self fulfilling prophesy...I've decided my life is miserable and LOOK!! it is.

If I tell myself that others have it worse..and LOOK! here's a good moment...then I find more good moments.

God does help us. Maybe making life miserable is his way of reaching out and reminding us that we've been ignoring him, or not acted like he would've...he'll make it better...especially if he knows u can't handle it.

Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of ****
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.

And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...

Take a tour of Walter Reed Naval Hospital. After seeing those brave men and women that have been wounded in battle you will be ashamed you ever complained about ANYTHING. They don't have time to whine and cry because they have the right stuff...something YOU better get.
Boo-hoo you pathetic smear. Pick yourself up and shake it off because we don't have time for your slobbering.

Because we are sinners who live in a fallen world. Even so, God is merciful. Things could be much, much worse. For the Christian, His grace is sufficient to see us through all hardships. He uses every situation for our good and His glory.

Life is what we make it. Having said that I know that other people can and do affect the way we live. God will help if we surrender to Him and ask Him to help.
