Last night I got into an arguement with my 17 yr old son. He threw a personal belonging of his 10 yr old sisters in the trash and I told him that he owed her back the money for the item, he told me he wasn't giving her any f***ing money. I told him that I wouldn't tolerate his mouth and attitude and that him and his friends needed to leave the house. He got angry and called me a b***h and I slapped him in the mouth for doing so. I had already forwarned him about using that type of language with me. A couple of weeks prior to this incident he was upset because I wouldn't let him spend the night with a friend and he told me, "F**k you, no I mean f**k you seriously." When I went to slap his mouth for calling me a b***h he put his hands on me and we proceeded to wrestle around the living room with me slapping at him trying to get him off of me. He didn't hit me but I could tell that he wanted to. He has a very bad temper and goes off like a bomb when you say what he doesn't want to hear.

I am 23 and my fiance is 28. We have had the most beautiful relationship and I can not explain how good he is to me. He has a daughter from a previous 7 year relationship that ended. He loves her very much and she is so sweet to me too. Her mother has moved on and has a boyfriend and I have accepted this situation for my future.
But, Yesterday.. he says that he needs to tell me something and it's hard for him to keep it away from me. He told me that 1 1/2 years ago there was this woman and he just turned single from his relationship and they had a short good time together. (I hadn't met him yet.)He said it was less than 10 times and he always wore a condom. He also found out that she was with another man when she went to NY and Miami.After a year she calls him and tells him she has had his baby and he couldn't believe that call. Now she lives in another country and keeps calling asking him to go and get a DNA test with her. He showed me pictures and they don't look much alike.

Please someone help!! Im 13 now and i havent said anything to anyone i still live with him and acts normal and i dont know what to do or if i should say anything my best friend at school sometimes think im a bit weird cuz i dont fancy any boys but she doesnt know what happened and im really nervous and scared of them and all the boys at my school are all pervy and just want to get into a girls underwear please someone help im really confused and i want to tell someone but im too scared and the only people that know are me and him please help!!

This guy asked me to go steady with him but I said no. It's not that I don't like him, I chop it up to not being ready to make the step. But now I fear I have heart his pride and confidence. I would like to pursue a relationship someday, but ever since I've said no he's been acting more distant toward me. What I'm asking is, how can I assure him that I am interested, just not ready to go steady? And how can I win back his love in order to keep the ball rolling?

It was age !4 for me with girl at an 8th grade graduation party in a stairwell of a church hall. I initiated it. It was first time frenching for her too.

I need some advice i can not stand my fathers partner she has caused me so much pain since they have been together for know 23 years. My mother died when I was 7 years old then it was only my father and I. We got along really well; he would tell people that I was his little princess until she came alone. He basically started to ignore me he would spend most of the time with her. Then when I was about 14 years old she would wear some of my mums nice clothes in front of me which I can remember my mum wearing them and it would upset me so much that I would always cry and she did not care. Then when I would tell my dad that I was not happy with that he got angry at me and would throw the clothes at me. There were fights nearly every night and I did not have family to defend me because my mum’s parents were dead and my dad parents were overseas so at the time all I had were my friends. Then when I was 19 years old my dad partner basically wanted me out and they put me in a caravan park. So basically he chose her over me and I would cry nearly every night. while she was leaving in a nice house. And now my father has cancer caused by asbestos the cancer is stable at the moment. I want to be their for my father but the past still haunts me even thou I live in a nice place and work in admin and life is good I still find it very hard to forgive them and they both think they have done nothing wrong what should I do?

Is it wrong for me to expect the woman I love to be considerate and kind without being told. My girlfriend needs to be told to be considerate of my feelings and needs. I tell her about my problems but she seems to need specific instructions on how to be considerate. It kind of ruins the act of kindness for me, I dont get that warm fuzzy feeling if i have to tell someone to be nice to me. Then their act doesn't seem thoughtful or kind. I feel like a burden. I feel like i am making them be nice to me.

From Texas, getting married in California. Twelve people have already booked flights.My Dad gave my sis 10K in 1991, but says he can only offer me 2500-3000. Should I be hurt? What do I do? His excuse is that his retirement money is running low. I am 35 and he also says he did not know if I would ever get married. This is the man who has to walk me down the aisle. Do I cancel this whole thing? I think the real issue is that it is not the Catholic wedding my mom wanted me to have in Texas.Also she has a bad prescription addiction which my dad funds.What do ya'll think I should do?I am at a loss...

I've heard men like confident women, but I've seen a couple of cases that seem to prove this false. There is this girl I work with, who has no self-esteem whatsoever (constantly puts herself down), but she's nice-looking, so guys flock to her. And then, there's this other girl, who's considered quite homely to most people, who's very confident...and people ridicule her, saying she has nothing to be conident about. So, do men really like confident women, or is this just another lie just like the whole "looks don't matter" thing?

hi. i prefer leaving my kids with my parents but i feel "guilty" that this might hurt my in laws and make them feel i dont trust them!!!

I am rich by most people’s standards (millionaire making $250k+/yr, 32 yrs old.) I own my own business (since I was 25) so it’s not obvious how much I make (as opposed to if I was a doctor etc…) I lead a modest lifestyle so you can’t tell I have money.

I’ve had a few long term gf’s in my life but have never told them anything about my finances. Eventually they can figure out I am doing ok because I never talk about money problems, always buy what I want, drive a modest car (~$30k) but paid for it in cash, have my house paid for, drop $200 on a dinner date whenever I feel like it etc… Two gfs flat out asked and I refused to tell them. I was very turned off by this and eventually we broke up.

Another one asked and I decided to try telling her. Then all of the sudden she started expecting more from me (more expensive gifts, vacations, she stopped picking up the tab for our inexpensive dates…) I ended it with her.

I’m just curious how others approach this topic.

I recently married my husband. His ex-wife has a daughter, not his, that he sees every other weekend. His mother picks her up every other weekend and takes her to the store to buy her clothes and toys. His mother brings her over and the girl always shows off her new stuff. The problem is that I have a five year old son who is now adopted by my husband. His mother NEVER buys him anything. My son is jealous of the girl because 'grandma' always buys her stuff and never him. The girl brings over her stuff to show off to her 'dad' and my son becomes jealous. I dont know if I should say something, but my son is being hurt over this. (I dont think his mother ever accepted me and my son completely. She seems to favor his ex wife and her daughter and buys them a bunch of things and does a bunch of things for them.) What should I do? I feel hurt and left out.
