My dad is a habitual, functional alcoholic who is EXTREMELY emotionally abusive. Every Sat. night I drive 1.5 hours to pick him up from his favorite bar where he drinks from before I wake up in the morning until he calls me to come get him at whatever time he deems necessary in order for him to chug however many drinks he wants. I do not want to be an enabler, but if I leave him there to drive home himself, he will probably kill someone else. Then it would be my fault. I do not have any resources for any kind of help. I have tried talking to him when he his sober, but nothing has changed and he is just as mean/mushy sober as he is drunk. I cannot tell anyone at school...it is a small town and my mom works there....I cannot contact Alateen/Alanon bc mom does not approve of outside help. I am 17 and my sister is 12...I have to go to college next year, but I don't want to leave this for my sister to deal with this, my responsibility....not hers....I don't know what to do. I am 32, and it seems every woman I meet has either slept with alot of guys, has children, still has feelings for an ex, substance abuse problems, or weight/health issues.

why is it everytime i do something good no one notices but if i make a mistake the world just crumbles? why is it if a girl takes a guy from me and then i just happen to get him back WITHOUT trying i get **** from everyone? why is it that i hook up with a guy b.c hes my best friend and it doesnt mean anything but my friends pissed because she likes him and didnt even tell me? why is it i get **** from that when i dont even like him and he doesnt like me; and we just did it b.c we were bored ? why is it i always somehow make a mistake?

There is this girl that goes to my school. i have at least three classes with her. every class we have together we talk to each other as long as we can and the whole time we talk she is just smiling at me. Also whenever i see her in the halls walking from class to class she smiles at me. But last tuesday in the first class we have together she giggled and put on a sudicing smile. My boyfriend and I have been planning to go to colleges for sometime now, and so far he wants to go to this college and I want to go to that. He thinks that if we go to different colleges in different areas, things will be the same between us. But to me its like going to a different highschool. I can't maintain long distance relationships, its too hard. I'm so afraid that if he goes to another college he will find someone else thats always there to be with. And that thought hurts me so much. I've been going out with him for a full year now and I hate the thought of losing him. He says that we could just get an apartment together but I don't see how thats possible if we are going to be in different areas..
What do I do? Should I break up with him ahead of time to prevent any worse loss? I just feel like when we are away from each other and around different people, we may grow apart and I don't want that to happen. Please help me.

He goes against what I wish for our son. Our son just turned 1 years old. My husband just fed our son garlic and 3 oz. of tea! He told me he was giving our son milk, so he lied!
What should I do? I've told him every time that I don't want our son having garlic, tea, etc. Yet, he did it anyways. He doesn't appreciate my wishes!

I don't know how many times I've logged on and answered questions from parents who don't have the money for diapers or christmas gifts or medicine for their kids and want to know how they can get this stuff for free..

Yet the very next question they ask (Often within minutes of the one saying they're broke) they go and ask about something they saw on HBO or how a friend stood them up for a concert they had tickets for or how can they solve a problem with their new expensive camera..

I've been poor before- I was a teenage mother- The first year of my daughter's life, I was lucky if I had a dollar in my pocket to buy a soda at work with. But I didn't have cable. I didn't have an expensive digital camera. I didn't have a computer or internet access. I didn't go to concerts or out partying with friends.

Why do these people think they're owed free stuff when they obviously don't manage the money they've got?

the other day i was talking to one of my friends from school. we were playing a truth or dare game and he asked who i liked. i said guess he said me? i said which answer will freak you out the least? he said it will freak me out if you lie, so i said yeah i like you. after that he started talking to me more and the next day he sat next to me in my writing class and started talking to me. he had no work done so he kept asking for help and then when i wouldnt help him he erased half my essay. he got it back obviously and i knew it was joke, so no feelings were hurt or papers ruined. Our computers are old so if you press the right code the screen will flip upside down. he kept doing this to my screen the whole class and he asked to look at the songs i write. but i want to know if he likes me. from this story does it sound like he likes me, or just wants to be friends? were both thirteen and he came out and said he didnt know who he likes so im lost for what to do

I recently found out my boyfriend borrowed my money ($15) to pay for his work celebration party. At the time that he asked me for the money, he said that it was to pay back a girl friend from work that he owed. A few weeks after, I asked him if his work place will have a Christmas party like last year... because he asked me last year and i was busy then. I was looking forward to attend this year's party... that is when he told me that the day he borrowed my money was the day he paid for his ticket. He said he didn't want to ask me to go because he says that the people he works with is not the best crowd and wanted to protect me. He did ask me to go to his friend's birthday party who use to work at his workplace but not anymore. Does he really need to go to his work Christmas party? Do you consider this as a form of cheating? If you do, would you still contiue the relationship?

I met a guy back in July through friends-we had a ONS. We hung out all the next day, then i mentioned something about hanging out again, he says, i'm not looking for anythign serious. I said, neither am i, just asking if u wanted to hang out. I never called him. 3 months later, i added him to myspace. Ever since then (this was early oct i think) we've been hanging out. For a while it was every other weekend, now we've hung out the past two weekends. He is always the one to contact me. We dont go on dates, I just meet him at a bar, but i've met a lot of his friends at this point. He also put new breaks on my car. last night one of his friends asked if we were 'going out.' Pretty sure he was kidding but i didnt answer, neither did he. When i leave, future plans are not made. It will just be like, later...then i hear from him. Maybe he just likes the sex...or maybe he likes me too?

I have been playing football with my husband and his pals. they play a rough game of tackle which sometimes includes the men "accidentally" tackling the women by grabbing our boobs to tackle us. my husband says its all in good fun so to just deal with it when one of his friends does it to me. does anyone have any advice how to get these guys back? one problem is i'm only 5'4 and most of these guys are big and built.

My mom died of liver disease when I was 14. My father still drinks. I have a career and a family of my own now. I have no brothers or sisters. I am doing very well in my life but now I have so much resentment watching my father sit and drink all day. His health is deteriorating due to his lifestyle. It is to the point where I just don't want to have anything to do with him. I am resentful in the fact that he never took care of me when I was little but now I'm expected to take care of him. I am the type of person that you take care of your loved ones but I can't stand to even talk to him. He shows up at functions obviously drinking. He is almost 70. He is way too old to be doing this but has done it his entire life and will never change.

Any advice?
