I don't see why that would be a problem. Maybe she thinks you're really cool. If she contacts you first, and then creeps you out, then you just have to gently back out of the situation. I, personally, like people who can take charge from time to time.
I met my wife on the Net. We've been married for three and a half years now and we have a wonderful son.

It depends on how hot is the girl. Usually it is better to play hard to get at first. Men in general like some challenges in the beginning.

totally so if I'm correct you exchanged numbers with a guy and your asking our advise so as not to lose the new man in your life to answer your question yes you will sound very needy if he doesn't call you (let him call first) wait a week if still no phone call them obviously he doesn't want you that bad

I think it is better that way. In fact, the man should not get her number until she calls and gives it to him. Contact or not is her decision. Then any first meeting should be in a public place.

Personnaly, as a man I would feel really nervous about contacting you, being as your just a person I met on the net, I wouldn't be sure you be the same person in real-life. In any case, I would feel good if the girl called me first. It would make me feel like she really cared for me and was interested in me. That's how I would feel, but I'm a little unsecure. It depends on his personality. It could be taken in many different ways based on that.

Actually, I have met a girl online, we have been together as of today exactly 20 months. She called me first and it sparked into a relationship after that. She should just be herself and not try to act different. If the guy is interested, he'll respond, if not, he'll want out of it.

i never thought i was being 'needy'. just excited to talk to someone. now, if she keeeeps calling you constantly, without warning, or an 'OK', then yeah. that's a bit needy.
