Family & Relationships - 23 November 2007

I know a woman that is constantly interfering in other family members schedules and plans by changing times, dates or pick-up's and "drop-offs"....particularly if the activitivity is something that she was not asked to be involved with.

If someone has planned an outing or trip and the trip involves something she doesn't approve of then she does her best to re-arrange times, places, who's going etc... or to cancel the trip altogether.

She is a "Director" where she works, but how can we as family members keep her out of our scheduling and plans? She is always wanting to be "in-charge" of our lives, our household and our relationships with others.

It's very frustrating because she won't take "no" for an answer..... and if she's caught..... she'll cry and try to back-peddle" her way out of what she's done or said by saying it's her job to be "concerned" about the family and the kids.

Any constructive advice would be appreciated.

my roomate at college is really hard to be around. he knows how to hack into a computer, and he does it to mine all the time. he also makes fun of what i want to major in (doctoring) and it is really starting to piss me off. if he doesnt stop, i am gonna have to punch him! any ideas on either a.) getting him to stop or b.) helping me ignore it?

I sometimes see children in stores roller skating in their tennis shoes. Its sooo cute!! They have these shoes that have wheels in them to and they can walk or skate. I love roller skating and asked my husband if he would make me some shoes like that but he said no and I didn't want to accept that so I kept asking him and then he got mad at me and wouldn't buy me the earrings today that we were planning on getting due to the sales. I want to know what I can do to change his mind!!

I feel like Im going to puke.
My boyfriend led me to believe he has been trying to pay a big mortgage while out of work since May.
I felt badly for him and suggested he refi to get money cause he kept telling me he was broke/in debt.
He said yeah he should refi.
It turns out his Dad bought him his house, the house is in his Dad's name and his dad even pays the RE Taxes!
I only found this out 2 weeks ago.
Now BF has great new job making mid six figures but says he has no money for xmas.
I have spent so much money helping him out and pay for dinners/travel.
I feel used.
I have my own mortgage to pay and now I AM totally screwed up financially BECAUSE i helped him.
I have been laid off recently.
Should I confront him or just vanish ?

Ive ended things between me and him before but I called him the same night2see if he would take me back&he did. We've like each other for3or4years, but he had to go to another state for a couple of months, I said I would wait for him&I told him I loved him, while he was gone we kept in touch but at the same time I was seeing other people&that wasnt part of the deal. &becuase I havent seen him in so long I wasnt shure if I still had feelings for him, I've lied to him so many times and have hurted him, it got to the point where I wasnt shure if I HAD feeling fo him& but I had to end things a month before he came back to state all because I know he diserves so much better...I have this love for him and I mostly most of all just want him to be happy soo bad, so i ended things& I wasnt sure if it was even the right thing to do, Im stressing over this now that its over, and a think of him everyday...

how about with the most hot, tall, amazing, kind and guy who loves you with all his heart and you love him. its cold and snowing outside and a small group of you two and your friends are sitting by the fireplace with hot chocolate telling funny stories and memories. there is just enough conversation to be laughing and chatting but still whisper i love you's into eachothers ear unoticed

to give our relationship one last try. i told her all of our probs. i explained to her that if things won't change that i am prepared to leave tommorow. she is always broke. i understand she has 2 KIDS (7 & 4) but as a parent she should still try to save money. what if emergencies happens?? she has said she would try. i have asked her to set some rules for the kids. i have tried to stress to her that the kids do need rules & she needs to be more involved w/ her kids. she has been letting her mother raise the kids & that's bad because in the future they won't listen to her they will call grandma. i have been told i can't discipline her kids at all. my gf says it wil take time & the reason she has her grandma help is because when she first had kids she wasn't ready for them & was never happy she had them. i tried. i'm at wits end. i don't make much money. i want to get a 2nd job so that things will get better. she was pissed when i told her. now she wants me to spend money on her!!

ok so, me and my friend,katrina,werent very close when she lived in cali with me. then she moved to michigan with her parents and we talked online and were really good friends. i have also added some of her michigan friends on myspace, and became good"online"friends with them. recently we had an arguement over something and to settle it she gave me her exs aim so i could ask him. well i asked him..and we started talking, a lot. he added me on myspace and asked me to comment some of his pics and that hed return the favor.i posted generic ones like "oh cute" or "nice pic" but his were like "your so pretty" "man i wanna move to california" and as we were talking over an im he started getting really flirty. then katrina told me that she still had feelings for him. i deleted all the pic. comments so she wouldnt see them but what should i do, im not interested in him and i dont think she should be either. help?

I love my boyfriend, but he doesn't keep himself very clean - i.e. his hair, his teeth, his room, his clothing (his body generally is ok though). I don't want this to come between us, but it's sometimes very offputting for me that he is so scummy!

Since my husband and I have known each other, we have gone from attending our church service on Sunday, followed by Bible study...to him attending meetings He's on several committees) every week, 2 services each Sunday along with Bible Study and now possibly doing 11 weeks of classes followed by 3 more weeks of class to ready us for more members in the congregation. I enjoy my Sunday morning service and Bible Study. However, the additional service on Sunday evenings and in a little over a month, weekly classes...I think I am going to be overwhelmed to say the least. I have a full time job, have three grown children that i enjoy being with, plus an aging mother than will require more care. I also mentor a little girl in a neighboring county that I make time to be with. I'm afraid my husband is not going to be happy when he learns that I am seriously considering NOT taking the 11 weeks of classes. Should I feel guilty for not moving forth in the church with him?

Knew that this guy was interested in me for awhile. I liked him as well...we ended up hooking up the other nite afer a few cocktails. He is shy and I know I put the moves on. Ended up staying over his place. Is that bad????
