Im grounded until Christmas for drinking. I dont know how to convince my parents to unground me before christmas so that i can buy my presents etc.
Help?

Have an open and honest talk with them.
If it's just Christmas shopping you want to do, and not go out partying, see if they would be willing to take you.
If all else fails, shop online :)

Maybe if you could realize just how serious it is for a young person to be drinking it would help.
You seem to be more concerned with how to get ungrounded than you are over what you did wrong.
A major change in attitude is in order.

Offer to do extra chores in exchange for the privilege of going shopping. What you did was serious and they have to know you take the punishment seriously. Frankly, I started drinking in my early teens and developed a drinking problem. Be careful! There are consequences!

I am sorry, but drinking, and you don't say your age, but if you are young enough to be grounded, you are way too young. You deserve to be grounded. However, if you helped around the house ALOT and acted like a part of your family, and not mad all the time, it would go in your favor if you were my child. You need to be quiet and respectful of your parents decision and thank God you didn't get blood alcohol poisoning, or even kill yourself with the booze.

Sounds like you have really good and caring parents. You deserve the grounding, so please don't fight it. I agree with what others have already said, though... see if your parents will accompany you on some shopping trips. If not, make some homemade cards... your own artwork. I'm willing to bet that all who know you're grounded, will understand.

Sorry girl. You deserve to be grounded. If you want to buy presents, you need to tell them so they can go with you and supervise you. Meaning you go in and out.
