Yes, lots of people are single for 4 or more years. So it's perfectly normal. It's even normal not to want to be in a relationship or get married or have any children. If you are unhappy with being single, then you should do something about that.

Yes, it's very normal. You more than likely haven't met anyone that you care to start up a relationship with. You'll know when the right person comes along or you may choose to remain single and leave things uncomplicated. There are many people out to there like yourself that haven't been in a relationship for years. Everyone has their own reasons.

My daughter has been divorced for over 5 years now. She
has met people that she has dated, but she hasn't found
anyone that she wanted another permanent relationship
with so far. Sometimes it just takes time to find the right
person!

yes it is normal! I was married for 23 yrs to my 3rd husband and decided to take a break and reevaluate what I wanted in a relationship and then I wanted to improve my financial situation so I went to school and worked and no time for men then I wanted to get my career going and I realized that 3 yrs had passed since I dated and I have been single for 9 wonderful years and am very happy with my life but I do date I am now ready to find someone more permanent in my life. I had a healing period and that is probably what you had.

Yes, but I wouldnt say that qualifies as NORMAL.

4 years? Bad breakup? FIrst REAL relationship? Parents fighting or die recently?

Many people go for a while. I prob was single for only 2 yrs at max. As long as u are enjoying your life, whether with someone, trying to find someone or hooking up with multiple partners, you should be ok.

It is more normal to be single for 4 years, than "never to be without a boy or girlfriend".... being single for a longer period of time shows that you are not needy for someone, and that you are comfortable with your own self..... in a relationship you don't really want someone who can't "live without you" but someone who enjoys your companionship in a mature fashion.... A lot of people were single for half of their lives, busy reaching out to others, and accomplishing all kinds of amazing things....

Do you want to be single? If your happy with yourself and where you're at in life then you should be glad. If its not by choice than stop looking for a partner, then they'll find you, (it always happens like that). Just when your content with your single life you get loads of offers!
