Married 7 yrs. We have 2 kids, ages 5 and 7. They love their dad to pieces.

We used to be best friends, he still calls me that sometimes. He is a liar and has a drug problem where he cashed an refund check for 1000 to pay for his debt. He lied and said "why woudl I do that" AND tried to claim it as stolen, they sent the forms and he finally relented.

I found he saw a porn site 2 months ago and that broke my heart.

He does laundry, dinner and plays with the kids, they love him to death b/c he's a good dad but I hate him beyond measure.

I received a notice to appear in court to pay insurance co- pays for my children, my ex has never contacted me to settle up on my percentage of these co pays she just filed it in court ....some of them go back to 2000 is there a statute of limitations perhaps?

I have been dating my boyfriend for 1 1/2 years. I am 31, he will be 33 in couple of weeks. We have been talking about marriage for what seems like forever now, he being the one who first brought up the subject. We talked about everything, where it would be, what we wanted, where we would live afterwards, how many kids we wanted and what their names would be. We even talked about a timeline. We both agreed that we want to start having kids by the time I am 35 and we want to be married for 2 years before we start having kids. He wants a Catholic wedding, they take a little longer to plan. Most you can't pick a date earlier than 6 months. I want a year to plan. We went to 2 different places to look at rings and picked one out, but now he says he's not ready. He says someday he'll be ready. I will be 32 in 5 months and I am READY! I've told him I won't wait forever, but I have no idea what to do now. He thinks I should just wait indefinitely. I feel misguided. What do I do?

I have a lot of concerns, here are just a few:
I feel my son has a right to know, but I hate to think that he'll not think of me as his father. I'm scared that he'll want to meet his dad and then I'm fearful that his biological dad will want some level of custody or visitation.

If I don't my son, I know its possible that he'll find out at some point by accident - when I can't provide blood, organ, etc, who knows but I can't imagine how upset I would be to find out that my dad has been lying to me all my life - I can't have my son hate me for that.

what are the legal issues? If the table was turned, I would be very upset if I had a son and didnt even know about it. what rights do biological fathers have if they haven't been around for the 1st 10years, even if they didn't know.

what if there are genetic health issues that we should know about?

I love my son and I will never be able to think of him any different than my son. But, because I love him, I want to do what is right

My kids' mother abruptly moved to another state six months leaving the girls with me. I know she lives in Nevada, but she never gave me an address. What would happen if I filed for sole custody of the girls and the courts (in VA) were unable to find her prior to the hearing?

My wife does not like many of her brothers and sisters. But she still gets together with them on Holidays and family activities. She has a cold and strange family. Talking to them about their differences does not do any good.

We dread these family get togethers. No one has any interest in us and what we have to say. The conversation is forced, boring and cruel. I ask my wife why we must see these people so much and she replies, because they are my family.

Would you get together with your family members if you did not like them?

The kid who was beat up was just fine later that day, attending a party even - so he obviously wasn't hurt.
Should your child go to PRISON for 100 years? 22 even? Would you call that "attempted murder"?
What's appropriate?
For those of you who know what I'm referring to, please have the decency to leave race out of it - that's not what I'm asking. I want to know what you think is appropriate punishment if YOUR child engaged in a fight with someone, ANYONE.

I am having a destination wedding in sunny Key West where it will be 80 degrees on my wedding reception day. Do you suggest a fondue station with fresh local fruits or a candy buffet where guests can take home their candies as favors. If I do the fondue station I will have to pay extra money for favors. If I do the candy station I'm afraid it might melt together due to the heat. Any suggestions or helpful ideas??

my bro is 14 yrs. i'm 21, married, live in germany, just have my own life. i don't know what going on with him. my mom asked me to talk to him, because they had got into an argument because she deleted his "devil music" i'll admit i got him listening to rock, but not "hardcore". he shown me what he listens to and it's extreme. i tried telling her it was just a phase, he'll act rebellious, what not. i did, but i got over that. i lived with my dad though. then she told me he got a razor, started cutting himself, saying the devil made him do it. my mom sometimes tries to force religion on him and i don't think she should. yesterday she told me he was making suicidal comments at school. they took him to the hospital, from what he told the doctor, he was considered at "high risk" and was admitted into a "hospital" for a couple days. i don't know if its all an act or he really isn't ok, because he doesn't want my dad to find out. would you blame the music, it is something mental or what? :(
