If a girl has a bf, would a girl still want another guy there just to kill time when they are away from each other? Or to satisfy other needs (not sexually)? Or do they just want to get as much guys as they can, regardless if they have a bf or not? Because people in general like being liked.

I'm living with my fiance and we fight all the time. But, he is so hard to deal with. Anytime anything difficult comes up, we just end up arguing because he just walks away and ignores the conversation. He works 10 -12 hour days and says he deals with enough b.s. at work and doesn't want to deal with it when he comes home. Small things that may upset me i ask if he'll work on , he say's he'll try but won't make any promises because he doesn't compromise for anybody, including me. I'm at my wits end with the fighting, and i feel like i'm the only one trying. What should i do?

My ex got in touch with me recently. We broke up 6 months ago. He was the love of my life.

I went to see him and we started talking about why the relationship ended. He indicated that he wanted to give us another chance. I was reluctant to get my heart broken again, so I acted stand offish. A day or so later, I realised I that I acted distant, so I texted him and told him "Im proud of you, your doing great things with your life, so keep in touch" and all he texted back was "OK"...

Soooo...... am I making a big deal of this, did I blow my chance of us getting back together?

friends for years and he's secretly liked me but he never went for it b/c he thought the chances of being w. me were slim only to find out that after all this time, I felt the same way back - I was the first girl he fell in love with BUT "life challenges" (death) and rumors/assumptions from friends made you us drift apart and it created tension BUT rather than giving up or seeking revenge, we worked it out and everything is starting to be better than before, the relationship grew (this happened in a 9 month span)

I'm glad everything is starting to be better than normal - i wrote him a heartfelt letter telling him the truth and reminding him i was there for him and i really cared. After this, he would put up more pictures of me and him on his page, wouldn't be "outgoing" but "safe" w. me. He would txt me to ask my day and i said something that might have been suggestive of flirting (joking but didn't mean/realize it) and he didn't respond.
Hung out with him one day and in public he seemed normal - poke me if i said something silly, make fun of me but when we went to his house, he got quiet and more shy.
He kept the door open in his room and when i hugged him bye he said, "i was supposed to wait 'til you got to your car"...and everytime i see him he says, "just hit me up"

is he starting over from scratch and taking it really slow? or starting from where we left off before drama happened?

I'm wondering about two things. I'm getting married on Halloween next year so the whole thing is very informal. First off, do i have to send out save the dates or would it be ok to use an email site that i found that works out perfectly. Gives the guests all the details and they are really cute; Plus it cuts back on costs and since we are paying ourselves that helps ALOT! Also do i have to have a bridal party dance? I don't really care either way and i know they won't either.

I have been married 25 years. I love my husband very much. In the beginning he was physically abusive. I left for a little bit, we worked it out, and the physical abuse stopped. But was replaced by emotional abuse, not name calling, but he knew how to manipulate and control me. As I got older I realized I didn't want to go on like this. I sought professional help, he wouldn't, but i started to feel empowered. Started being my own person. Didn't go over very well, he resorted to saying some not so nice things to gain control over me. When I wouldn't allow him to control me he realized he needed to change. And he really has made changes to the point that he is almost a new man. Things seem to be going very well, but I can't help think in the back of my mind that the old man will come back. It is a real fear of mind, never sure what is going to cause him to go. I am desperately trying to convince my intended that I do not want a diamond engagement ring (reasons: potential for buying a 'blood diamond', personal taste and the cost).
He doesn't want to hear it. Any ideas on how I can convince him?
He is the most wonderful guy in the world, but he can be stubborn on things he feels are important (such as what an engagement ring is supposed to look like).
I don't want to be a diva and tell him "this is what I want or else!" I really want him to like the ring, too.
Any ideas on how I might try to convince him that stones other than diamonds are wonderful options???

I am planning my wedding for next summer. I have a pretty limited budget. I am wanting to get married in a sculpture garden at around 7:30pm and then have my guest(40-50) back at my mothers house for reception"party". Is this an okay time to do a finger food reception(sandwiches, fruits, cheeses, dainties). We are wanting to rent a tent for the yard and maybe banquet tables to have the foods placed on, can I use expensive clear plastic plates or dinner plates?? Also, any ideas on the alcohol serving part. We would like to buy most of it but how to have self serve? If you get my drift of what I am planning please give some suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

i lived in hope..then i hear my heartbeat..louder and louder..theres a pain..somewhere..it wont go away. I look at that door..its black with no handle..i can push and easily walk through. ITS INVITING...i been here before once twice maybe more.ready to go in..but then i looked back..saw reasons,needs hopes and a few dreams..so i walked away.But now i'm here once again outside this door..its inviting me again.. once more.i turn my head look back just to see..theres nothing there..nowhere..nothing..at all. i'm scared so so scared..i dont want to be here..i push the a little to see whats inside..its darkness..empty darkness and its cold..like my life. i stop to think..i think of you me and everything,everyone all who know me and those who dont..my life flashes past me..all those hopes i once had..there is no hope...thats my final thought...i push the door slowly and quietly go in...

last year I was 120lbs when i met my bf and i ate healthy and was very active and had high self-esteem, but since we were dating we ate and drank out alot, he would tell me to indulge once a week and that he loved me regardless if or if not i gained weight. We're still together but now I have a low self esteem, im fat and i feel ugly i dont dress sexy anymore and i get jealous, and i always think hes with someone better than me, something that i was never like before. He doesnt put me down but hes also not a good motivator. Both of us have been eating healthier and exercise but i still see no results and hes lost alot of weight...Please help I need to lose the weight FAST. I want to get my self confidence back and be happy with him. Im afraid I'm going to lose him because Im so unhappy and insecure now.

Im in my 2nd year of college now. I am very quiet and I remember last year (freshman year) how difficult it was for me to make friends because I am shy. Well, this year, I'm still quiet. My 15 year old daughter and I are currently living in her house. We will be moving out soon.

However, in the meantime my mother says goodbye and hello to my daughter but completely ignores me.

She is also pushing me to move out. I also found an e-mail that she was going to send me listing all of my "bad" points in her opinion. She also said how I should cook, clean and do more in the house. I do help her out, but am now turned off because she is pushing me to help and has the audacity to think of writing an e-mail with 10 points of how I have to change.

I don't know how to deal with her except to ignore her and count the hours until I move.
