I'm wondering about two things. I'm getting married on Halloween next year so the whole thing is very informal. First off, do i have to send out save the dates or would it be ok to use an email site that i found that works out perfectly. Gives the guests all the details and they are really cute; Plus it cuts back on costs and since we are paying ourselves that helps ALOT! Also do i have to have a bridal party dance? I don't really care either way and i know they won't either.

Very tacky to have the save the date sent via email.

Why not just skip the save the dates! Until recently these weren't ever sent before. Just sent your invitations via snail mail about 6-8 weeks before. That is plenty of time for people to plan to be there.

No you do not have to have the bridal party dance. Many skip this especially if the bridal party doesn't know each other well or if it is a small wedding party. You can skip oradd pretty much anything to you reception that you want.

Good luck!

E-mail would be perfectly fine for an informal wedding, IMO. Just make sure the e-mail addresses you have are current. You don't "have" to have anything at all that you don't want to have - if you don't want a bridal party dance, skip it. It's completely up to you. We had an informal wedding, and we didn't even have the wedding party, I just had a MOH who helped me put together the ceremony. Just do what makes sense to you and your fiancé.

P.S. My husband does not dance, so even if we did have dancing (which we didn't), he would not dance, and it would have been fine.

My husband and I had an extremely casual wedding. We had a judge come to our house to marry us. We invited our immediate family and closest friends and then afterward had a cookout. We didn't do a bridal dance and it turned out awesome!

It is entirely up to you how you go about it. Don't let anyone pressure you in any way about how things are done. It's YOUR wedding. If you want to use a website for the invites, then that is fine. You could also try getting the blank invites and filling them out yourself.

Yes, emails are fine for save the date, just not for the invitation. I would use evites since it lets you know when/if someone viewed it and you can call/mail those that do not.

And you do NOT have to have a bridal party dance, at my brother's wedding they only did a bride/groom dance then people joined them that wanted to mid-dance.

The only problem with e-mail save the dates is they might get sent right to someone's junk mail.

I had a problem like that when I did e-mail invites for a party.

If you don't want to do a bridal party dance, you don't have to. It's up to you and your fiance.
