We are equal partners." The wife is free to explore her chosen calling and career, while still feeling feminine and motherly. The husband, on the other hand, is free to be compassionate and affectionate, but he is still masculine and fatherly. In this kind of marriage, both husband and wife have equal voice

and we tried to work things out. My family went on vacation for a week and I thought he was going to treat me with me LOVE and RESPECT because we had time for ourselves, my family doesn't want me near him because he physically abused me when we were living together and they hate him for it. well he had been really sweet to me and told me he wanted to cahnge and he was just so romantic and once my fam. left he started acting like and and Ahole with me. I told him I wanted a divorce because he doesn't want to change he called me a ***** and told me that he hoped my mom died and that all my fam. went to hell. Then we talk for a lil and he thinks things are ok he takes back what he said and tells me he didn't mean them and tells me he loves me. wtf, what should I do? I am so confused ... I love him but what makes him think he can just do what ever he wants with me. I take to much crap from him because I am kind hearted and loving because that is just who I am. My son's father and boyfriend of 7 years will not move his stuff out of my house. In the past couple years he has had another child and been in 2 different relationships with 2 girls. He says he still wants to be with me but shows no effort of change. He still has all his stuff at my house and comes everyday to take a shower and then leaves. I told him numerous times that I don't want to do this anymore and that he should take his stuff where he sleeps at night. Everytime I say that, he's nice for a couple days and then I don't see him again. I just want to move on with my life. What should I do?

So theres this guy i really, really like. and he feels the same. but it totaly sucks, casue everytime we try and get together, we dont. he came over to my house exactly a month ago today, and we just sat and talked for like 3 hours, and it was so nice. he asked me out on a date that following week, but we didnt go, casue he had to stay at work late. then he'll promise to hangout, but something will always come up. but when we IM or text or talk on the phone, hes always saying how, "we sooo belong together", and im "everything hes ever wanted" and stuff like that. and hes like "i just wana ask you out already". hes a workaholic, and is only 17. so he does have difficulty having time to do sutff, and i iunderstand that. it just seems like, if he really likes me as much as he says, then hed make more of an effort, and wed be togethe already. i just dotn know what to do. (and im kinda freaking out casue i texted him last night and he never wrote back and haha ugh y didnt he text back?)

My b'f feels that he shouldn't have to pay for half of my birth control cost. He has paid for condoms when I wasn't on birth control for a couple months. I have been paying for my birth control for a few months by myself. However the cost has gone up and is now $26.00 per month, should I have to pay this myself or should he be helping me?

Men are supposed to be with more than one woman. We marry one to have kids and stability. We sleep with the rest to keep our lives exciting.

Ok..i'm stuck and I'm going through hell right now.
Girl #1- Me and her used to go out but we broke up because i couldn't handle the distance (she lives like an hour and a half away and I'm only 17 so i don't have a car) but other than the distance i loved her dearly. I still do..but the distance still stands in the way and i don't know if i'll be able to handle it because i dont want the same thing to happen like last time.

Girl #2- i broke up with girl #1 to go with this girl because i was really startin to like her n she lived closer so i thought i could make things work with her. I did make things work with her and next thing you know we were all in love. It seemed like we were so good together but i also still had feelings for my ex and she found out and it hit her heart with a spear..so she broke up with me because even with time i still loved my ex and she couldnt take it anymore. She told me that when i didnt have anymo feelings for my ex that she'd be waitin.
What now?

My boyfriend has been screwing up a lot lately, and I know it's partly my fault because I keep forgiving him for everything that he does. It hasn't been anything major like cheating or something, but other things that really p*ssed me off. Well Saturday we got into a fight and he left me at the bar and took my car! He did come back and get me after I threatened to call the cops. Well he apologized last night and I told him that "sorry" was just not good enough anymore. I told him I wanted his apologizes to have more effort and that he cannot just keep making mistakes and expect me to just take him back all the time. I don't want to lose him, but I need him to realize that things cannot go on like this. He asked me what I wanted him to do, but I really don't know. What kind of things should someone do to apologize, besides saying I'm sorry? How do I get him to put more effort into his apologies?

My first year wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought I would finally break out of my shell, make friends right away, and enjoy myself. After living with extremely overprotective parents I thought college would help me with this and I wouldn't be such a miserable person anymore. But no, instead I was so depressed and scared right away. I had a roommate that slept up to 20 hrs a day, watched cspan all day, and never said a word. I had panic attacks often, made no friends at all, and had a hard time studying from being depressed. There wasn't much lighting or anything so my dorm was usually dark except when I studied. I was originally on a sports team but had to quit due to health problems. I'm glad that happened too because those guys were always assholes to me. I'm about to start soph. year and would rather sit home all day and do nothing (like I said, overprotective parents). I can't take my parents' other van to college, so is there anyway I can make the best out of it? TIA

OK, so, 2 years ago, while I was with my current S/O, I started to see another man. We spent a weekend together (he is in the military) and then a few weeks later we spent about 10 days together. In between, we talked on the phone and e-mailed a ton. When we were together he introduced me to his family and then asked me to marry him. I never actually said no, but I did not accept his offer to buy me a ring.
Well, needless to say, my S/O found out. He e-mailed the guy and told him who he was and what was going on. The on the side guy then e-mailed me and basically called me a B**** (I was, so he was right) and said he never wanted to talk to me again. I was busy trying to make it work with my S/O, so I left it at that.
WELL, the other guy is on MySpace. I happened upon his profile while he was in Iraq. He is now back and I would like to send him a brief message apologizing for my past actions and letting him know I am glad he made it home OK. Would that be hurtful and selfish?

at home, she's a very good girl, gets awesome gradesand is a good daughter, she's got this man she's been dating for 21/2 years now,he's 39 years old(but weve already went through the age issue with that)about twice a month she will spend the night over at his house,i know this, but she tells my husband, her dad that she's staying at her friend Amanda's,he has a feeling shes lieing and hasn;t said anything yet,he says its not right if she's speding the night over with him ,which i agree also somewhat, then i think she is an adult and doing what she's supposed to be doing in life, she says she doesn;t want to move in with him,and she's not doing anything wrong, she says she don't drink or do drugs, she's doing what she's supposed to so whats wrong with staying over sometimes, they have traveled to Hawaii for 4 days and my husband said nothing, they are planning another trip to Austrailia, which my husband knows about of course,so why does he have a problem with her staying the night once in awhile?

I've noticed this happens to both genders. A close friend marries and then he/she disappears. I can understand married people will spend more time on their spouses, family but a simple email doesn't take much time. Not all married people disappear, but it seems to happen more often than not.

This is a question asking about your experience in dating or relationships. Not for the young and immature, but the grown and responsible men and women of YA! There is a young lady that has been a friend for about 2 years now. Interest has been shown from both sides but nothing ever confirmed. I have been played in the past in a relationship, where there was a mix up in the way i showed affection was by giving money or things that they wanted, cause I don't want my woman to want. Well it got to the point where it became expected and not appreciated, so we both moved on. So there is always hesitation on my part to engage a woman from that standpoint. I believe it could be affecting me to the point well it would hinder any other relationship, by me being skeptical. I "feel" she is playing games cause she would ask for things but if I ask what for it is a problem, cause I should "give" with a free heart. So I am curious to what YA, thinks about how their past can affect any relationship?

He won't let me wear makeup, have a TV, listen to music when the kids are with me, wear ANY jewelry besides my wedding ring, wear nail polish, go to movies...etc. The thing is, I know he loves me, but he honestly believes each of those things is sin-it's how he was raised. I made sure and asked him about each of those before we were married, and he said he didn't have a problem with ANY of them...we've been married almost 3 years now, and I've noticed that one after the other has gone out the door...WHY?! He actually said something the other day about taking out the internet:S If it wasn't for my kids, I'd leave...but I seriously believe divorce is worse for the kids then me dealing with this. Anybody else been in the same situation? Any advice?!!

my mother in law is very needy of my husband. She has been out of state for the past 2 months. In that time my husband and I have been able to get a long perfefctly fine. She visits us 3 times a week, she also comes over on the weekend. I've told my husband that I don't want her here all the time, but he says that's my mother. She's been married for over fifty years to my husband's father(an alcoholic)so my husband feels the need to make up for his dad's pathethic situation. She has 2 homes out of state but chooses to stay in california were she has no home so my husband and his 4 married brothers have to scramble around. She relies on my husband for everything, i feel like my husband has 2 wives. One of the sister in laws asked her to stop coming over so much and her response was that she could come as many times as she wants because that is her sons house. What should I do? My husband and I have 2 children together and get a long most of the time, unless it's about her. help
