We had been together just shy of 3 years. He recently decided to part ways not on the best of terms through an email. He told me to do as I wish with the ring, it was mine to keep or sell... and if I sold it and wanted to give him half that would be very generous of me. Any contact he has with me via email only, as of the past 2 weeks he never ceases to not mention the ring and what am I going to do with it. My thought is you told me it was mine to do as i'd like with it... DON'T BE AN INDIAN GIVER NOW. Furthermore, for right now I'm not going to do anything with the ring but keep it... it was a symbol of committment to me that he broke and I'm not ready to part ways with it yet. I will do something with it when i'm ready to do so. He's making me feel guilty about the ring even though he said he under no circumstance wants it back, but rather just money for it if i were to be so kind. Well I'm not feeling so kind right now... remember, YOU BROKE MY HEART. What should i do?????

Seeing a guy for last 6 months, was friends with him for couple of years before we got together. He split with last girlfriend at beginning of 2006 (after 5yrs) , after a few months of loneliness started to go back for 'sympathy shag' (rubbish thing to do but understand some people do it). Ex wanted him back and she fell pregnant. My fella gutted, thought was on pill etc (no excuse, told him he is responsible too). We got together and i said i understand the situation, he must be there for child but not to tell her about us till baby born (she is slightly phsycotic older woman who will go to any lengths to have him including saying she will kill herself).
Child born 3 weeks ago now, my guy is at his ex's every day visiting child (i'm ok with this) his ex is seeing him everyday and living 'in hope' of them getting back together. I have told him he must tell her we are together to allow her to get over him, i don't want to end up bitter but he scared she won't let him see the baby.

After 5 months of exclusive dating (his request), my "boyfriend" and I got into an argument because I expressed a concern about our relationship. He was the model boyfriend for a while, always called when he said he would - at least until recently. Even the sex was awesome! But he's never called me his girlfriend, claims he can't be in an emotional relationship (though his actions showed otherwise), & has suddenly started playing hot & cold. We're both 25. I asked that he start being more consistent, & even offered ways we could make it happen together. But he freaked out & ended the relationship. This was a huge blow to my ego. I thought addressing the problem would help solve it. I never expected him to end the relationship over this! What happened here? Was he afraid of confrontation? commitment? Was he just ambivalent? I'm so confused.

I'm getting married in December in Sri Lanka. We are marrying inland beside a lake with a rainforest and mountains as the background rather than by the ocean. I'm not sure what to wear, its going to be about 20 deg C and there are traditional girls and drummers there.

I broke up with an ex of mine that was always keeping in touch with her ex behind my back & now I have met someone that has been broken up with her ex a year & a half ago & she is not letting go of of her ex. They stay in contact with one another, the ex took her to the hospital to have her tonciles taken out & now the ex is in the hospital & my girlfriend went to see her. The ex started crying for the fact of seeing her there. My question is, "How can either move on if they are not letting go of one another?" I had this problem in one relationship & I do not want it in another one. I thought you were suppose to let go & move on & keep the door shut.

I've seen this situation in books and cartoons and my real life too and I think its really touching. My 10 year little sister and me are always disagreeing on things and continually bickering. But then recently,she actually vented out exactly hw she felt when someone talks like THAT to My sister...to the 'someone' in question. And I couldn't believe it was coming from her!

Do you have an experience similar to mine- a case of big (or younger) brothers, sisters or anyone else coming to your rescue when you least expected it? Please share if you do.

She is fillipina and the youngest of her family. We moved from california to Austin Texas. When she was living at home she had a cellphone then along the way she had to add her sister and her brother on the family plan.. She is still doing this and from day one had to pay the bill and is still stuck with the bill every month. She is seriously afraid to say anything to her family about wanting to drop the plan. I told her to be upfront and tell them you don't want to do it anymore. She is worried that they will say something like it isn't our fault you wanted to move away and buy a new car. My thing is why can't you just not worry about it and say "Well I moved on and started a new life over here and I can't afford to keep paying this bill" I mean this bill is over $100 every month and she had to pay it for several years now with no help from them. I even suggested well why don't you let your phone get cut off and have a "problem" so they will realize when they don't have a phone...

i met this guy forn the first time and started generally talking to him for help in my workplace where i have just started. i am trying not to make friends a big issue at work and focusing at doing my part-time job during the summer. this guy was soo handsome when i first saw him. he kept staring at me for a while and when i asked him to do favours he would do it for me, he would also get out of his way to be near me and do stuff for me . i also saw him looking at me for a long time at the corner of my eye and when i looked he looked away. i am sooo oblivious to signs of guys flirting and what can i look out for? he smiles a lot at me. lol i have never had a boyfriend and for the first time around a hot guy i was being my self and not trying too hard. also the thing is i just overheard a conversation from him and a girl, he told her he just had sex...i was like wait a minute he flirts with me then says that.. im confused and a bit intimidationg cuz i dont want pressure from him.
