2 times he (my boyfriend) has told me that he loves me while he's been drunk (over the phone). Only those 2 times. My only reply is "you're wasted." I don't say it back. So tonight I texted him "no more drunken 'I love you's' If we get to that point of a sober one then maybe- whatever, but until then... no more drunk ones would be good. K buddy?" No response from him... so I wrote "not upset about it. and if u want I'll talk to you later."
Heres my question.. I still haven't heard back from him. How would you guys take this if you're girlfriend did what I did?? I was hoping he'd be glad I was being realistic and even find it a challenge (b/c most girls probably would've gotten excited and said I love you so much too)

I have been married for three years. I was always under the impression that alcoholism was a gradual process, but my husband seems to have spiraled out of control in the past 6 months. Maybe I just didn't see it before, but lately I feel like I'm living in a nightmare. He drinks until his speech is impaired every day. Today he was passed out by noon. He has recently started lying to me about his consumption. He is not verbally or physically abusive. He has a very good job and as far as I know this has not impacted his work. We don't have any kids and I don't take my marriage vows lightly, but everything I've read seems to tell me that there is no hope for him. And although I understand that I can't make him stop, I'm at a loss for what to do. He admitts that he has a problem, but he can't seem to stop. I don't know what to do! Does it do any good for me to stand by his side or do I get out now?

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 and a half years, we both want to get married(to each other) one day. We are both 20, and entering our Junior year of college.
My grandfather is dying, and I don't know how much longer he's going to be with us.
Here is my question: Do you think it is a bad idea to get married in the next year so that my grandfather will be here for it? I would be heartbroken if he passed on before we got married, but I don't want to ruin mine and my boyfriend's chance to finish college. Before you ask, the two of us have talked about this, and he wants my whole family to be there as well so wants to go along with this also. In the end though, he says its my decision.
As a side note, I know his family would not go along with this, and my family would probably be a little skeptical, though they are already hoping we will get married one day.
Any advice you can give would be great, thank you!

i like this guy, but im not sure if he likes me, when we are around each other he acts like an annoying big brother, like throwing stuff at me or gently hitting my leg, but when he is not so sober we always seem to be touching, like our bodies or hands, he still acts immature, but with flirtation, does he like me or am i reading him all wrong?

Well you see I'm 17 years old and still I don't have a boyfriend... It's okay from me at first but then I began to get sad... I'm always left out, I feel that my heart is now searching from the right guy but until now I still searching. Now, I feel like that maybe I will never found the one who will love...

What should I do to get rid of my sadness?
Will I ever find him?

feelings for me are growing less and less each passing day, BUT........perhaps when we see each other again he may have the feelings back.........notice that we live in different Americas........so, I would just HOP ON a plane and get there to see if he still has feelings for me? Boy......is this TRUE LOVE? Maybe I am better off without him...........to me, true love never dies...........and true love grows fonder when we are apart.....and nothing really breaks a couple apart if there is this kind of true feeling.

So back in November, I met this really nice guy with my friend in a different city. Her boyfriend was on an army base and we were visiting. So I dont ever talk to this guy we met but he tries to contact me on myspace and tells me how beautiful I am and what-not. He isn't the stalker type, I just dont respond. It seems innocent. So I just told my boyfriend of ten months tonight and he flipped out. Said that he thinks there is a big problem because I like the attention from this guy. I mean I guess he is right because I dont talk to this guy but it is nice to hear what he has to say about me i guess. I was just trying to be honest. Please help.

My friend is having problems with other people making sure that he cannot be with or around anyone in his life. He is struggling with selfesteem and all. He needs me to help him but I haven't been able to with his attitude so low. How can I help him get back into the groove of things and be happy. All he can do is putter around doing little things. People can be so hurtful when they have their own problems. Why don't people just mind their own business sometimes!!!

How isn't important- but due to someone else's mistake I found out that a friend of mine is throwing me a 'surprise' party. So far only one other person knows that I know (and that person is attending the party as well). But what should I do? Fake surprise, or find some way to let the party planner know that the party is no longer a secret? If I should tell her, then how? I don't want to fake in front of my friends (especially if they should find out the truth later), but I know the planner would be crushed that all her hard work went to waste.

This is completely random, but me and my best friend are having a fight over if the other men on the groom's side (other than the best man) were called groom's men or something else.

I had....Had is the word been seeing this guy since Feb. We haven't had sex yet 'cause I don't want to just give it to anybody. He didn't seem to understand that. We were still talking when I moved down here and he even said he wanted a committment. This past weekend our plans were to go to Galvenston for the weekend together. He didn't call, text or show up...I'm thinking its b/c he hasn't gotten it yet. I'm glad I hadn't now I know his true colors! Why are guys such jerks about waiting for sex??

"If a guy says that you're calling him at a really bad time and wants you to call him back later does this mean he's not interested?"

He called me but I did not return his until five days because my mom does not want me to call him but she says let him call. Instead, I called him and he said he is too tired to talk. What should I do? Should I call him back?

My girlfriend and I are both virgin. Sometimes when we get freaky she grabs my butt and I get excitement from it but that is as as far as we go. Is this thing ok in a relationship or is a little too sexual?

(examples)

any time i dont act the way she wants, she curses at me or acts evil.

she has flipped out on me for having other girls besides her on my myspace/facebook top friends.

she threatened to break my PSP if she found as much as swimsuit pics on it.

she threatened to break up with me over seeing a movie with hot girls in it.

she forced me to end contact with most of my female friends because "she dosent like them"

she always has to know where I am or who i'm talking to on the phone.

if she even *thinks* im attracted to someone else, i wont hear the end of it

she has threatened suicide multiple times, and has slit her wrists in the past because of our arguments, and her jealousy.

If i threaten to leave/take space, she makes me feel guilty because she has so many problems id leave her with, or threatens she'll be worse when i come back.

when she says something out of line, she makes me drop it, no matter how evil/low it is.
I still love her though, but is she abusive?

My bridesmaid just broke-up with her boyfriend of 3 years. She told me that she will have another date to bring to the wedding. Should I discourage her from doing this? There will be pictures of them for sure and it might be odd for us. I know wedding etique is that unless they have been together for more than six months you don't have to invite the other party. Or should I just let it go. She is my best friend after all and I feel really bad for her.

I am really interested in someone. We were only seeing each other for around 3 weeks. Things got a little complicated (she has a serious health condition) and I told her that I felt we shouldnt see each other again. I said that out of fear. She hung up on me before I could explain. I've called her a few times and left messages asking her to call, but no call. I've tried to explain that I said what I said out of fear but nothing has worked. I know she was really interested in me before all of this happened. I dont want to give up, but at the same time I dont want to look like a stalker. I was thinking about sending flowers, trying a new approach. Any suggestions? Should I just leave her alone? There is that old saying that you will never know until you give it your all... but I dont want to look psycho or desperate. Where do we draw the line?

On the few occasions I am out with my friends, I always feel awkward and uncomfortable because I am too short (5'4). I Also feel that it is O.K. for a gal to be that short, but not a guy. Does anyone else feel this way or have any comment? Thanks
