"If a guy says that you're calling him at a really bad time and wants you to call him back later does this mean he's not interested?"

He called me but I did not return his until five days because my mom does not want me to call him but she says let him call. Instead, I called him and he said he is too tired to talk. What should I do? Should I call him back?

There are some guys who really need to work for a living.

I have frequently told my friends to call back, especially if I am in a meeting. I know a lot more guys who work up to 3am or 4am these days.

Go find out which is which. But he should call you back still especially if he is interested.

Remember that if you want to be in a relationship with a workaholic, you should not complain about 'why isnt he calling?' or 'you should spend the weekend at home instead of in your office!'. This guy has set his priorities which is work above all else. You want to be in the kitchen, make sure you can stand the heat.

Please don't start jumping to conclusions. Sometimes, guys do get tired or are engaged doing something else which may make talking difficult.For example, if a guy whom you like (or who likes you) calls at the time that you are busy fixing your hair for school or work the next day,should he feel you no longer have any more interest in him?.Unless this guy is doing this on a consistent basis, look at it as just poor timing.If you truly like him then try to get your mother to let you call him occasionally so you don't return his calls five days later.Meanwhile, call him back and talk as if nothing has happened because nothing has based on your letter. 5 days is a long time when you're young enough that your mother guides your phone-calling. "A really bad time" can mean he was in the bathroom, halfway through shaving, being stopped by a cop for speeding or at home with his wife.

My vote is the first time he did want you to call back, but he got tired of waiting. Unless he's really young and would understand the mother interference in which case you can try that excuse, give up on him. Don't let the next one wait more than a day unless you warn him that you have trouble getting access to a phone.

Seems like he might think you are not that interested, since you didn't return his call for five days. He might be upset with you. I think you should try to call him again at a time you are pretty sure he would not be busy. If he blows you off again, I would say his loss.

don't worry about it. this one guy - Colin lets call him - said that to me. Even thou it was only like 10:30, he sounded dead and he called me the next morning. He said he was wiped out last night and was sorry that he couldn't talk.
