I had....Had is the word been seeing this guy since Feb. We haven't had sex yet 'cause I don't want to just give it to anybody. He didn't seem to understand that. We were still talking when I moved down here and he even said he wanted a committment. This past weekend our plans were to go to Galvenston for the weekend together. He didn't call, text or show up...I'm thinking its b/c he hasn't gotten it yet. I'm glad I hadn't now I know his true colors! Why are guys such jerks about waiting for sex??

Well, me being 16, knows that not every guy is like that...he was just the less-of-the-percentage-of-the-population-of-males...in other words not all of us are like that.. I am waiting for the right moment with my Other...and I wasn't the one that thought of the sex idea too so...he was scum that's all

The sex drive in young men is very strong. And a lot of young guys are also quite selfish. Today's society places very little value on waiting for marriage. As a result, fewer and fewer people take sex as seriously as they should. It's very important, even the little stuff like the first kiss. It can effect you all your life. But with our "sex sells" culture we're bombarded with the idea that we're somehow incomplete without sex. Some guys are still willing to wait, if they truly care about the girl. But if the guy is just looking for sex, they know they can get it if they lower their standards a bit.
I'm sorry your boyfriend turned out to be a dog, but don't lose hope. There are guys that will respect your decision to wait. One thing though, don't wait until the last second to express your desire to wait. If you push too far before you back off, he may think you're teasing him. And the further you go, the harder it is to stop easily.

Technically speaking, girls mature much faster than guys. So, while some guys may stay innocent and not even think about that stuff until later, some guys go the other extreme. Girls are more practical, and think about the future (moslty because the girls are the ones who have to suffer the most because they get pregnant!), while guys don't care as much sometimes. Just don't worry about it too much: and you were right to not want to just give it up to anybody.

the right guy will wait. if he dont want to wait screw him, thats all he wanted anyway. I'm the same way, my attitude about sex right now is that my sh*t is GOLDEN and the men not willing to step up to the plate can BEAT IT! do your thing girl you deserve better than that kick him to the curb!!!

If it were me I would be trying for a replacement after a week, if not sooner. Sex is a huge drive, don't under estimate it.
