I once had a friend say to me, "It got dark at my house last night."

my daughter threw a fit today while over to grandma's holding on to her grandma's leg saying that she wanted to stay with them, that she didn't want to go home, In the middle of an emotional breakdown, I freaked told her that I felt like she didn't love mommy and daddy. Ofcourse I know that five year olds don't have the ability to reason. But this is an all the time thing anymore. Everytime we go to see family she says she doesn't want to be with mommy and daddy anymore. A lot of it is jealousy because she has a two year old brother who she feels gets more attention than her. I try to spend time with her, I told her that we love her and him the same, that we didn't love him more than her. But her constant fighting, and saying hateful things has really hurt me. I am loosing it and can't deal. I'm already in a fight against severe depression. How can I make this stop. I have tried spending more time with her alone but nothing seems to work. I feel like I should take her to counseling

I've been with this guy for awhile now and things have never been okay with us, he says he loves me and wants to be with me but he never acts like it, he is 30 and i am 21 so obviously, i want to go out and party with my friends, but i get yelled at everytime i do, all he wants to do is family things and stay at home!! i'm not at that moment in my life and i'm tired of getting yelled out for doing things that HE did when he was my age. i dont know if i should leave or stay and try to make things work, i love him very much, but i guess my question is: am i just acting my age or is this guy really not the one for me? should i take the plunge and just move out..or do i stick around and try to ground myself alittle more?!

She is driving and that is why I am jealous. Just being in control of the car makes me want to do it. I'm 14 on Friday so I will get my permit next year but my license in 2 years. That's soo long. She is mean so that contributes. She goes every night to practice and talks about it all the time. She always finds ways to bring it up with relatives too. It is so annoying. And the fact that my parents won't let me ride my bike anywhere besides around the block and she will be able to drive places. I can't even ride my bike to DQ because "it's too dangerous" and its really not. Soon she will be driving to church and stores and I don't want her to. Should I go around the block with her to get used to her behind the wheel. I don't want to look at her in the drivers seat because it might get me mad. I know that this is weird but I need help tp GET OVER this jealousy. I'm a boy too. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I just posted this question and it gave me actually more questions and a little more of a scenario to add to catch you up I am 18 and my mother pays my bills by her choice not mine. I only except the money because it is sent straight to my bank account or she directly pays my bills. I exchange my mother now lives with me when she is between jobs. My consequence for this is that i cannot live my own life she tells me i cant cook, she tells me what to wear, who my friends should be what i should name my baby, where i should work, what classes i should take in school the list goes on and on. She wont let me be my own person. And when I tell her she says she is my mother and it is her right. Honestly for me she doesnt understand it depresses me. I almost hate her. But i cant because i love her so much i am an only child and her mother killed herself so i know she feels like she has no one else but its to the point where my friends call and she tries to tell them what is wrong with them

You are friends with a guy. You know he does NOT want to be more than friends with you but still, sometimes you catch him "checking you out". You know he does NOT want to be mroe than friends and after a moment it passes and he never says anything about it. How do you feel about this? Are you flattered? Offended? Uncomfortable? Do you feel it's just human nature taking over and ignore it? Do you just let him look knowing it'll pass and nothing will come of it? Do you try to cover yourself or excuse yourself from the room? Would you ever say anything?

Again, I can't stress enough he doesn not want to change your friendship. Just sometimes he notices how attractive you are and human nature takes over but he remembers that you are just friends and that's all he wants. As good as you are as friends, he knows that the 2 of you would not work as a couple.

He said he was released 4 months ago and was "just SO happy to be able to talk to people" He was so upbeat, interesting AND interested, extremely fit and good looking and friendly that I asked him why he had so much Joi de vivre on a Tuesday night....
he answered me by saying he would'nt lie and that he had been in prison for fraud...thats already questionable in my book (the fraud thing...I mean what if he was being Half honest and was really a murderer or whatever) and so I kind of told him I was unavailable but out of interest, would you date someone who told you this?
My personal choice would be to avoid, assuming the worst, the bigger picture let's say and also due to my career, I could'nt get invovled with someone with any sort of shady record.

My son is 8 years old and he LOVES Drake Bell from the Nick show Drake & Josh. Drake is also a singer and teenage idol...he's coming to our town a couple of weeks before my sons 9th birthday. I'm trying to decide if he's too young for Me to take him to the concert? Only serious answers please. My husband and mom are confused like I am. We don't want him in a bad environment, but we know how much he loves him and we're hoping it's mainly a "kid" environment and wouldn't be bad with drunken adults, etc....
Thank you for your honest and helpful answers.

My boyfriend and I have been dating 2 years in September 2007. I cheated on him with different people from May 2006-September 2006 before getting caught. He decided to give me a second chance and I have truly changed. He doesn't take me out on dates anymore. Our phone calls are cut shorter than before I cheated. Our sex life has decreased although he says it has not. He is not patient with me or understanding like before. I love him so Much... its incredible what he has done for me in my life before and after the cheating. He has helped me become a better woman. But the emotional side of our relationship is lacking and I am just so sad and down. He lives now only 50 miles away in a new house and we do not see each other as much before. We meet briefly and it is not fulfilling. I really truly do not want to leave him. I am 100% sure he is not cheating and he does love me..believe me.. but things are just so sad. Everyone else has dates, trust, love...why not me?Should I just be patient?

A few days ago, I had a conversation via e-mail, with my friend (that I like).
The point is that she told me she just met someone, that she feels attracted to him, but she's undecided about him.
Lately she was distant with me. I would call her and she wouldn't answer. I would send her e-mails and she wouldn't reply.
But previously she has given me motives to belief she feels something for me.
Last Fall she invited me to take a choir class with her, and I did. After the class she suggested to take another class with her, But I didn't.
Also on several ocassions she would send me bulletins as messeges from Myspace, asking me, What I like the most about her, What would I do if she kissed me, etc..

I asked her out when we berely met, and she said "No" (she didn't have time), It's been more than a year now, and a lot has happened since, like what I've mentioned.

Due to the circumstances I feel I should do something.
I need some advice.

My wife left me months ago. And now my girlfriend after the separation has broke up with me. I thought we were both really happy and did not see her as a rebound but I guess I was wrong. It was abrupt for her to leave and I don't know why. I did everything I knew to do and if I had known she was unhappy I would have tried to change that. Now I can not seem to get over the pain. I have not hurt like this ever before and I can not function or see any hope.

The money was to help out with closing costs when buying a house. He is not one to keep promises. He just seems to get your hopes up then lets you down. Then you are deeply hurt and he does'nt even have the decency to apologize. Its like he is heartless. How would you react to this situation?

Make a long story short. She dumped me and dated someone right afterwards. She had severe depression, bulimia and low self-esteem. She has recently contacted me and says she misses me as a friend. Wants to hang out. I love her but I am also reluctant because I don't want to see her or have her talk about other guys. I want her back but only if she fixes herself. Which she seems to be doing. She sounds a lot better. My question is: With a person who has this many problems, what is the best way to go about things? Should I just be a friend? Would she gain attraction to me by me not pressuring her into something like a relationship? Should I tell her that her health is more important? But in the meantime look elsewhere? Or should I tell her its too hard to be friends. I am afraid she is going to date someone and I am going to be saddened and angry. Should I just be there as a friend?
