Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say, but guys, would you rather have a woman who is highly attractive, to you at least, but can't cook at all, can't even microwave successfully, or a woman who is semi - attractive or even plain but can cook like a world famous chef? Is the way to a guy's heart really through his stomach? Or do you not care about cooking or beauty? Explain.

said he wanted a "real relationship-no games" Well then all hell broke loose in his family and he told me to be wait for him while he trys to "fix" this problem..Well I just found out via a generic email that a close family memeber passed away..Ok this man claims to love me and says he want to be with me, but why would he not call me personally to tell me? I have told him many times that I want only to be able to help him, but I keep getting the door shut..Friends say I should move on, that a couple needs to be able to open up to each other and the fact that he won't talk, means that he is either changed his mind about me, or that it is just a bad idea to be with someone who wont open up...What do you suggest..To be honest I am really ready to throw in the towel.

We visit my parents 81 and 70 when in town where we have our second home. But we come by quite often is it a protocol to tell them as soon as we arrive? We generally call or take them out when we visit but they feel that we have to call then as soon as we get in I am 50 dont I get my space? If they want to know when we are coming by they can call and find out but they never do it is us who call once in a while to see how they are doing.

I know many couples choose to change obey to cherish, but does anyone have any suggestions as to what else to change it to? I've never liked the word cherish, for some strange reason, and me saying it would feel... forced and ackward. But I'm having trouble thinking of a word to substitute it with.

Any ideas?

Its a long story... but basically this girl (very obnoxious and annoying, kind of a prude turned slut) put this under the "how they met" or "how they know each other" (something like that?) category on facebook... between her and a guy I'm starting to become interested in.

I can tell that she wrote it because specifically... it says....

'They Dated: in 2006.
They Hooked up: in 2006 and it was dirty but great!'

I'm just curious...is she trying to say that they had unprotected sex? or that it was something really crazy and nasty? lol.... because, if thats the case... WOW I never would've imagined the freak inside of that girl!!!! And She doesn't seem like a very sensual person. But you never know lol!

Also, what do you think about girls who do this? What do you think their motives are? To increase the guys ego a notch? Or make it sound like they are good in bed?

lol I don't understand this, along with making sure you post "It's complicated" under your relationship status!

just have a few questions..
1) Why do people assume I'm money hungry since I want to pursue a graduate degree? This makes no sense to me at all since degrees don't necessarily = cash. Why can't people understand that I value education and a respectable position in a career field? And why won't they understand that I'll likely be poorer in the short run?

2) I'm a little worried about facing this in the future, especially since I'm already getting it now. I'll probably make a decent amount of money later on in life. But, automatically if you make money people will point out to you that you didn't earn it. Then, they want you to give it away. But assuming I'll be taxed in the 33% bracket, give 10% to church, and 15% charity -- I'll be out of 58% of my money right there. If I made $90,000 I'll only have $37,800 left to live on. Right away I'll be accused of squandering it, or hoarding it. (I'm not sure which ones worst) As a result of this expectation of wealth....

I am thankful for the way I look, but I don't compare myself to others or anything. I just like keeping my grooming skills sharp, but not obsessively or anything. I know my loved ones are joking with me, but sometimes I feel a little guilty about my looks.

it sucks but when you're doing well it seems like everyon wants to have something to do with you, but when your not, no one really does. Its like when you don't need em they are right there and when you need em they are gone. Why is this?

wow, this is kind of involved. my husband of 4 years has turned out to be a liar about his past (pathological wild stories that i've discovered are not true--everything from war hero stuff to movie star stuff). i found out AFTER MARRIAGE that he is completely devoid of sex drive, impotent and does NOT want to have sex ever again. he was diagnosed bipolar 3 months ago (meds don't seem to be helping--anger, paranoia, micromanagement, can't sleep, is on 4 bipolar meds)..etc. we decided we are going to go our separate ways with kindness (13 year old son involved). just when i told him that i have completely given up on trying to be in a marriage with only myself--he is now telling me that we need to go back to our old church and start praying together more. he thinks that will fix his attitude, which is resentful, hostile, and unpredictable. i've been accepted to law school. should i postpone a year and leave the marriage now before something terrible happens? need your thoughts.

I met this guy online, through yahoo answers actually. Hes my age and the reason we started talking is because we are both Christians and its nice to be able to relate to someone. Anyways, Im not even really thinking about a relationship or love or anything right now. We are just good friends. I feel like I can tell him anything and we help eachother out with out Christian walk and we just like to talk to eachother. I think a big reason why I find him so incredible is because he really respects me as a person and not just some object like most men. We both arent looking for anything, just kinda wanna live our lives. We both have our own lives where we live and we can discuss other relationships without being critical. I'm just wondering if anything in the future could come out of this though. we just work well together and have alot in common. Kinda curious if this is just a friendship or fate. any thoughts?

Back in Feb, i dropped everything I was doing... A good job, school..To relocate to be with a female who is bipolar. She told me about her disorder as soon as we met, and being the understanding and psychology major that I am, I did not shut her out. I thought we could work. It was sooo good in the beginning. She was sick, and had to have major surgery. She didn't want to do it becuase she had noone to be there for her and her kids. i dropped my life to be here for her. It's been a few months now and physically she's doing better, but her bipolar is out of control. She is so mean to me. After all I do for her, it seems like she doesn't appreciate it. Also, are bipolar people compulsive liars? It seems that when it's time to do something responsible she lies and says she's sick, so that she won't have to do it. She lies about her doctor's appointments when she doesn't want to go. And it's like she doesn't remember being mean to me when she's mean. Is this normal?? Someone please help!!!

She was going to school 16 hours a week and started fooling around with a guy there. I trusted her completely, she told me she was only talking to him so much so she could help hook him up with my sister. She came home and was the perfect wife, the perfect mother to our child. One day she asked me to check her email to see if she got her class sched. The guy had replied to one of her emails she had sent him that morning after I left for work. I didnt know what it was and opened it up. hmmm how to describe the feeling of your heart dying...first she told me it was only a crush, and a couple days later she told me she only kissed him and then the next day she told me how much further it went. she still wont tell me why she did it, she doesnt know why I would want to know. We had an argument and she started f***ing defending the other guy. We signed up for counselling but the first opening isnt until Sept. I'm in love with my wife, I just cant tell if she is the person I'm sleepingnextto

In Texas, my friend married a man that had purchased a home several years prior, with his first wife. Three years after the original purchase, be had another Deed and Deed of Trust done, releasing his ex-wife from all responsibilties for the home. About eight years later, after he and my friend were married, he told her he wanted to refinance the home and have his ex-wife removed (which we find out later had already been done) have my friend put on the home and refinance to get cheaper payments. A Deed of Trust, but no Deed were issued in both their names when they refinanced. Now they are getting a divorce and he is telling her that even though she is on the Deed of Trust, she has no ownership in the home. She has talked with three different divorce attorneys who tell her that this is possible. How could this be. My understanding was a Deed of Trust was held by a Trustee until the note is paid in full, at which time the Trustee releases the home to the borrowers, which she is.
