My mother is a wonderful mother, but a terrible grandmother. I hate to say it, but she really is. But she wants to spend time alone with my daughter and I just can not think of how to tell her I just don't trust her with my daughter. When I walk into her house I can find knives at knee level, they smoke in the house, there is not one room in her house that is toddler friendly, and there are no activities for little kids. Don't most grandparents stock up on little kid stuff? My grandparents always had loads of stuff to do and their houses were always clean and safe. So how do I tell my mother that I do not trust her with my daughter?

My hubby & I are going to a wedding in Aug for his best friend, Mike, who lives in Austin. They've been best friends ever since he dated Mike's sister, Bridget. That r'ship has been over for 10 yrs but I can't help feeling a bit weird & jealous still. He &this girl aren't in touch at all & haven't spoken in many, many years so that's not the issue. But every time we go to Austin, we always visit Mike which of course reminds me of HER. I always thought when you broke up with a person, you kinda cut ties w/ their family too. I think I'm insecure over it too b/c 1) he wouldn't even be friends w/ him if he hadn't dated her so all their memories revolve around that time, 2) my hubsband's family is still close to Mike's family, and 3) this was my hubby's 1st love & they dated for over 3 years. At the wedding, I'll have to be around her the whole time. Weird. I guess I feel like the odd duck out. I mean, it'll all be people who, at 1 time prayed Bridget & my hubby would get married.

There is this kid I hate alot and I talk about him alot about how he annoys me. And I told my best friend that he was doing something to annoy me and now she thinks I like him. If that statement is worth anything, doesn't that mean that my parents should have aborted me?

I had a really lousy homelife growing up. My mother (alcoholic) would beat on me everyday and occasionally torture me with boiling water and my father (a worse alcoholic) would beat me over the head with beer bottles if I didn't do a chore "perfectly". When I was only twelve years old he almost cut off my right arm with a saw because I looked at my friends' hustler magazine. They never wanted me. The only reason why they didn't abort me was because it was basically unheard of back then and they were pretending to be "good Christians", even though we didn't own a single Bible, just to fit in with the community and be accepted.

Well, you know what, 60 years later I'm happy to be born. I have a great life and I hardly ever think about my past. "**** happens" I tell myself and I move on. I have even lived my missed childhood.

Does that count for anything or should I be dead?

i like johnny depp alot and i like to use some quote he says but sometimes i don't even relized i said some. some of my familly is mad at me cuz they say he is a Liberal and they don't like liberals. and i'm still learning about lilberal and all that. i'm coffused. i don't know what to do. i mean do i try my best not to like him as much as i do to make some of my familly stop being mad at me. or do i just put up with what they say and keep likeing him. my familly thinks i chose to be a liberal but i have not chose what to be. like i said i'm still learning about this. plz help me.

my friend is so mean to me and my best friend. we dont want to be her friend anymore for our own good because

1)she has no consious and doesnt feel bad about anything she does or doesnt see anything wrong when she hurts someones feelings and thinks it is no big deal.

2.) she makes fun of people in our grade for no reason, and other kids and is really rude and mean to then and likes to start fights with people and call people names.

3.) when she does something dumb that will get her in trouble she gets us in trouble and it looks like we did it too when we did nothing and she gets us in trouble.

4) she puts us down alot and makes fun of us and tells guys we are losers.

you are probally wondering why we are still her friend right? well we can not get rid of her! we told her the way we feel but she doesnt care. and she is in our class and always wants to talk to us and come over to her house to hang out. we can not get her away from us.

I know of 4 couples, where the women are good and hold the marriage, and the guys are jerks.

My 4 siblings have turned into pit bulls. All these years they have supported all I have done for him. Verbally. Not one helped pay any of the costs. I am now "persona non gratis". They tell me I've had a "free ride" & I don't deserve the home I live in (it's mine when Dad goes to heaven), and they are going to contest the will when he leaves us.
Oldest brother has Power of Attorney and has pretty much emptied out the 2 accounts that are in Dad & my names & now wants to sell this house. My heart is breaking. He took most of my funds, so a lawyer is pretty much out of the question.
I live in SW Washington state.

In my case, I was sexually abused when I was like 4yrs old and then a guy rape me when I was like 13 but nobody knows in my family! ..I believe the guy is dead now. should I tell my mom about it? she is like 84 years old now.

well i'm a newly wed you can say...my husband is away for 2 more months.and when he comes home. i'm gonna have my big wedding and my honey moon. even though we have our differences and our insecurities..i do love my husband and would not trade him for anything in the world.i had a few places in mind.

My fiance comes from a very wealthy family that travels frequently (always to luxurious locations). He is going on a trip with them for 3 weeks this summer on a cruise thru the Mediterranean and not bringing me along. I am feeling very resentful and jealous. I trust him completely and don't worry about him being unfaithful.

My resentment comes from a few factors: my family doesn't have a lot of money and we couldn't ever do something like that, I work 60+ hours a week at a stressful job and won't have the time or money for a vacation until next summer, I have never been overseas and have always wanted to, and he has been able to travel to every part of the world all of his life (yet I have had NONE of those opportunities). I have always carried my own weight and paid my own way, yet he has everything (including this) just handed to him. I feel like if anyone deserves this chance, it should be ME.

How can I deal with this and not let it eat away at me?

I dont feel a spark for my current man,

but he's such a sweet and decent guy. He cares for me so much, and he spoils me rotten despite me telling him not to...and he texts me every morning to say "good morning" even when i have to wake up at 6 in the morning and says "good night" to me every night. Things that he doesnt really have to do. I like him a lot, i honestly do....but i just dont feel all tingly like people say i should.

Weve been married since oct. '06 and weve been dating for almost 7 yrs...i lost my job and haven't been able to find another one for a month now, so he is unbelievably stressed out....and since i haven't found a job i have become depressed, so we argue when he gets home. The other day out of nowhere he says that he needs space and time to think about what he wants, b/c he doesn't want to live like this and have kids in this type of environment..he says hes just tired of everything; that he can't take it. I understand.....but if he loves me why would he want to not be w/me...were married and there will always be problems in any relationship, you work on it , fix it and move on...thats how people last.....i want to give him his space but i love hmy husband and want to love on him and be with him....i dont know what to do....and neither does he...im sooo hurt and confused!
