Is there anything you parents don't know about you?
for example, have you been sexually molested, rape, had an abortion, etc.

and if you , would you ever tell them?

In my case, I was sexually abused when I was like 4yrs old and then a guy rape me when I was like 13 but nobody knows in my family! ..I believe the guy is dead now. should I tell my mom about it? she is like 84 years old now.

Yeah things like that have happened and well I don't think I'll ever tell them. It would be a horrible thing that would split my mom and her sister.

Well I wouldn't bother telling her if I were you, however is kind of sad that such things are unknown to the parents. In a way she deserves to know.

No, i thank my stars nothing like that happened to me. But I really feel terrible that you had to undergo such a horrible experience.
I really think you're such a strong person. Having to keep it a secret all this years and having no one to advice you and still you got through is really, really amazing.
At this point in time telling your mother about it is not a very good idea. She is already 84 and I am not so sure if she is still in good health. I mean knowing that her child had been raped might be too much at this time. I know she has the right to know, but you could have told her earlier when she was a lot younger and stronger.
I believe that you need to let this secret out. I guess that is why you are asking this question in the first place.
It will be a great relief for you to have it in the open. Maybe start by telling your sibblings about it. If your married then, tell your wife about it. I hope you don't get offended but sometimes it also helps to see a professional doctor about it. It's not that your a lony it will just help you sort out things and be more peaceful about yourself.
I really wish you luck and may God Bless you Always :)

i have done things that i think my parents would frown upon but it's my business. i wasn't hurt such as you were, the things that happened i did to myself. i'm not ashamed of my choices at all. who we were makes us who we are. i would make the same choices again if i had to. as far as telling your mom what happened to you, i wouldn't. it would break her heart to know that she wasn't aware of the situation and that you suffered through all these years. she's 84. i think that's to old to go through the guilt she would feel.if you have made peace with it, then move on and leave mom out of it.
