Hi everyone,

Im just looking for a bit of advice. I have started seeing a lovely brazilian man who makes me very happy. In January I came out of a very long term relationship (6 years) so as you can imagine I am very dubious about "getting involved" again.

The thing is he is black which doesnt matter one tiny bit to me but my family would go mad. I am ashamed to say it but I cant be responsible for their views. The ridiculous thing is that I know they have nothing against black people and never say a bad word but they wouldnt like me having a black boyfriend.

I know its racist of them but I love them so much and dont want to have to choose or hurt them. I am wondering whether it may be better to nip the relationship in the bud as it is going to cause chaos. My sisters also wont approve. I told one of them and sent her a pic and she phoned me crying as was so disappointed.

Please dont have a go at me - none of this is my fault.

She was working at a contractors office and a man caught her eye. She said he made everyone laugh and was just laid back and got along with everyone. She found herself completely attracted to him, then found out he was married, she said "oh well, its too late now, I already want him" and she actually went for it....he told her he was happily married (contractor working FAR from home for almost a year) and yet she still pursued him in a subtle way to begin with by befriending him, then after a month or so when he was out with his friends and they were all drunk she went up to him and grabbed him by his shirt and told him he was coming home with her...and he did. NOW I KNOW HE CHEATED AND HE SCREWED UP....my question is.....Why would a woman do that intentionally? Why would she pursue a married man? She told me that she just found him attractive and fell for him and she deserves to be as happy as anyone....well he told her he had no feelings for her and was working on marriage with...

i have been talking with a man on the internet {ims} for awhile now, i am 52, he is 67, i really have feelings for him and i think he feels the same,he is going to visit his hometown soon and it is very near to where i live, i think he may want for us to meet!!! i am very scared, excited, nervouse, i relly will want to, but im afraid i wont live up to his expectations, we have exchanged pictures, and have been very open, and honest with each other., i know i have, and i truly believe he has also. what will i do, wear, say etc.???? i was married, for 25 years, my spouse passed away,17 mo. ago, he was married a very long time, and his wife cheated, so we have both had our share of hurt,i really think i am falling in love with him, but i dont want to be hurt, and i would never want to hurt him!!!! Men: If your girl were 7mnths pregnant and u guys decided to take a break for a little while but you guys were still seeing each other everyday, still saying i love you's, still having sex, still basically a couple, would you consider sleeping with someone else?

Ladies: Let's say you were 7months pregnant. You and your boyfriend have been going out for 4yrs and this is you guys' second child on the way. You guys decided awhile ago that things were getting stress filled, so you decided to take a break. he always seems to talk about homosexuals and he's the nicest guy i think ive ever met. He treats me like a lady and is the same with me around his friends. He likes shopping and a good dance. But to be fair i have pretty big boobs and he likes them. He's had plenty of girlfriends before.

I haven't spoke to my dad in years. he lives in the same area as me and my family.
His wife that he has being married to for about 5 years hates me, but loves my brothers.
i have reasntley heard that dad has started to go to AA meeting because he is an alcoholic.

Yesterday three little kids in the neighborhood...( ages 3-6 ) were in my back yard playing. I don't mind them playing in my yard but then one of them grabbed one of the sprinkler head of the irrigation system that was watering the yard and was jerking on it? I told him not to break it that we needed it to water the grass. He ran. This is an ongoing problem. How would you handle it?

My husband and I have been having difficulties. He has this thing when we fight where its like he taking tally of who has won how many times.
This morning we had an arguement. I work nights most of the time so he is the one who has been getting our 3 year old son ready in the morning for preschool. Every morning our son is crying because my husband is rushing him. He only gives him 30 minutes to eat and get ready. I believe he needs an hour so he gets to do things for himself.
My husband said that he gets a half hour and he'll adjust. He told me that if I want our son to get an hour to get ready, then I can get my butt out of bed.
He was not like this when we were first together but in the past 2 or 3 years, he's like this the majority of the time.
Am I being stubborn or am I right to be upset and question our relationship. Please help. I am sick of crying.

My family never visits me, and I live in Africa, while they live back in Ireland. I can understand my mother's reasons. (She had skin cancer, and the sun here is very strong) but the other members of my family...
Friends visited me, yes, but not my family. Not one single member.
Laughing, not that I want them to visit, but my colleagues and friends here are asking questions as I'm nearly 3 years here.

usually go out looking for "strange" or are they usually pursued and seduced by the "strange"? I know nobody can be MADE to do anything and that cheating is a choice. But is it hard to turn down the "strange" when it keeps throwing itself in your face, and telling you "all the right things" to make you feel like you are a gift to this world. My sister's 12-year wedding anniversary is this Sunday, which is the day before Memorial Day. She wants me to babysit her 3 kids for 6 hours while she and her husband go out. No I don't want to and am not in the mindset to babysit. I even told her that, but got suckered into babysitting. Sunday's weather is supposed to be nice, while Monday it is supposed to storm all day. Do you think that I should call and cancel with her? I am seriously dreading it.

I like super spicy food and usually think that other people's food isn't seasoned enough.I see chefs do the "fairy sprinkle" of salt and pepper on food and to me, that isn't enough.

Also,being born in the US, I don't like eating food from "the motherland" cause some of it is like fear factor stuff, even though all nations have their own gross recipes (blood pudding, haggis, or meneudo) In my younger days, I would cook my own food separate from what my mom made. Do most people compromise and eat their spouses food, even though it doesn't satisfy them. I would think this more important than being sexually compatible. I look forward to cooking holiday meals together without second guessing their cooking style or palette. None of that "Why don't you just sit down and let me cook it, you're ruining it!" By the way, i am single, and never married or had a girlfriend long enough to be cooking together. Also does anyone have a significant other that doesn't trust you in the kitchen?

I am 52, she is 28. I am getting the usual signals: stands really close to me, always touching my arm, always comes over to me when she sees me, really holds my gaze for longer than expected.
