Ok, so I want to have my wedding on St. Patricks Day next year. It's a irish/celtic wedding, so I figured it would be perfect. But it lands on a monday. I really want to have in on that monday, not only for that reason, but also because it would be a lot cheaper. I'm working with a limited budget, and at the places I'm looking at for holding everything, the difference between a monday and a saturday is around $2,500. The only thing I've heard against it is that there might be maybe 3 or 4 people (out of a 100) who might not be able to make it. My step-mother thinks it rude of me to exclude them out that way, mostly because it's her sisters. So, should I stay with the Monday, and have a nicer wedding, but a few less people, or on Sat., a not so nice wedding, and everyone gets to come?

Ok I met this guy on valentines day and we started to date and now we go out. He loves my daughter and I really like him. Hes a marine and he is going home today and wont be back till the 19th. I am having this really empty feeling and my sotmach started to feel wierd last night. I want to know if anyone could help me out with this feeling. When he talks, he talks about us in the future. I live in Hawaii and he's from Wisconson and he keeps telling me "you'll like it back home". Dose this mean that he sees us togeather in the future. I really like him and I hope he feels the same. Can someone please help me sort out my feeling and my mind. Mahalo.

I have been married for almost 8 years. We always have some type of problem. I got hurt at work and can't work right now. The doctor said it might be a year before I can go back. I made good money, but right now I'm getting workers comp. My husband told me last night if I couldn't help pay the bills and other expenses I might as well leave. Is this love? I love this man and thought he did me also. We are buying our own home and I have always paid the majority of the bills, now what? I am at a lost of what could cause a man who said I love you do this to me. Please advise

We've been married 11 years and our sex life is confined to the bedroom and 2 positions. I'm totally bored with our relationship and feel like our marriage has become like a sentence.
If I purchase any toys, books or lingerie and ask to try something new or try to talk to my wife about our relationship in the bedroom she gets angry about it and tells me we're "too old" for "these" things (even a different position in bed) and tells me we're not kids anymore. She tells me if I'm not satisfied with her and that I should leave her and the kids and get a "hooker", or says other hurtful things. If I ask to go to couples therapy she also gets mad.
I've tried candles and romanting music, and sexy notes but she tells me that if I loved her I wouldn't ask for anything else.
We have 2 great kids that I love, I want to work this out but I find now I often fantisize about what it would be like to have a partner that was passionate and open minded.
Does anyone have any realistic advice?

I have been out of my parent's house since I got married in 2002, My sister has always been really rude to my Dad, but lately it is out of control. She is about to turn 21, but still lives with our parents, it is their house and she refuses to "put up or shut up".

My Dad has started having health problems lately every now & then.. the doctors thought he had cancer on his tongue, when she found out her reply was "good, maybe they will cut your tongue out so you can't talk to me anymore".. My mom just told me that she had said this and I'm completely appalled by this.

So, My question is.. What can I do to make her see what she is doing to our Dad, he has always been there for us, and provided a really nice life for our family when we were kids, but my sister still refuses to have any respect for him whatsoever. What could I say to make her realize that words really can scar the soul?

My fiance(?) and I tell everyone we're getting married. She tells her friends, family, and clients. I do the same. The only thing is, I haven't proposed yet! I don't even have a ring.

Here's the kicker. We live together, we've been together for 4 months, and we're totally in love. We're in our mid 20's, have very good jobs, financially secure, and totally want to get married! Do I wait until July? Or do it next weekend in the Bahamas on our trip!?

My friend, had a child with a woman whom he doesn't love. He asked her to marry him and she said no. He is 42, works 80-90 hours a week for this child. The mother has no intention of ever being with him and demands to check everyhting from his mobile phone to his work schedule, to make sure that if he does over time she gets it. She has turned down more work, because she says it would interefer with her child tax credit. She even has followed him on dates and accused him of getting other women pregnant.Which he has not. He is too frightned to date, is lonely. The child is not in his name either, and he purchesed her a car last year, becasue she says the child needed it. How do I help him? Mind you she crys because the child is almost 4 now and she wants another baby, from him. How do I help my friend. I have witness her behavior first hand so he is not telling lies.

Lately when my boyfriend and I go out we get asked how long we've been married, when we're getting married and etc. We are not married or even engaged. We don't wear rings on our left hands or anything. Why do people assume we are married? We don't discuss marriage or argue in front of anyone. I took all of your guys' great advice. My friends have been telling me, pretty much the same things! Thanks for all your help, but I have a new problem with the SAME guy! Our friendship has gotten MUCCHHH better! I'm so happy. It's almost like it used to be- minus all the flirting! But...I'm realizing that I kinda still like him. :/ He has a girlfriend, but she doesn't treat him well, at all! I feel so bad for him.
