Okay, I am looking for people who have been or are going through the same thing to tell me how they cope/deal with their spouse hating your parents.

Background: My husband and father decided to go into business together, which I was strongly against. Things fell a part and my husband blames my father(which I can see that my dad did make poor choices) and feels betrayed. Now he says he can't be around them anymore. The reason it's so difficult is b/c we have a son(their grandson)and I am very close to my family.

The question is: Has anyone else gone through something similar and how did you handle it? How can I live 10, 15, 20 years with this tension?

Please don't write something ugly, I really am just looking for some unbiased advice.

they have been in my life for almost 4 years now and my feelings have not changed for them. recently my own daughter has come to live with us and now the youngest step kid hates my guts. I wish i knew why she feels like that about me. My kids are here all the time and most of the time they are grounded because of their actions and the things that they do. my step kids are only here a few times a month. my step kids are the world to me. i have even told their dad that i wanted to get their names tattooed under my kids' names. they are like my own kids...we may not be blood but we are still family. in my heart they are mine. in my soul they are mine. i would die for them just like i would die for my own kids. how can i get them to see how much they hurt me when they say and do mean things to me???????????? I love them so much but i do not think they care, i think they just want their dad away from me

My boyfriend of 7 months, who I love, has had another male friend whom I have never met, hitting on him via text messages. Normally I wouldn't have a huge problem as it happens to me from time to time, but this one I have had a strange feeling about. I heard him tell the other guy that he wasnt interested in him 2 weeks ago. I checked his phone a week ago, saw the messages fron this other guy, and told him that I was upset about it. He got upset that I was invading his privacy. We worked it out, but I still had a strange feeling. I checked his phone again last night found some provocitive picture messages that I haven't seen before but were sent about 3-5 weeks ago, sent from both my boyfriend and this guy. He doesn't know that I found them, and I haven't confronted him about this yet. I feel like I have been betrayed and lied to, and in a way cheated on. Any advice on how I should confront him? I am considering breaking up with him but don't know.

My daughter(12) likes to take my son (5) swimming, but he's too young to change by himself. She doesn't mind changing in front of him, but a few of the older ladies in the change room apparently are a bit uptight about it.(Most aren't)
What should I do? It's far easier for her to go with him after school than it is for me to leave work early to take them.

For some reason am very rarely attracted to people enough that I want to know them genuinely.

I am only attracted to young (?!) men who are really beautiful ( I know that sounds shallow but boys do it all the time and the whole point of looking is that you fancy a person so please don't give me all the **** about personality).

Obviously personality is very important. They have to have high standards and be charming. Basically where in this day and age do you find a Paul Newman, a Marlon Brando (forget the high standards thing here), a John Taylor from Duran Duran,Peter O'Toole with personalities like that Face guy from The A Team, Peter O'Toole and Marlon Brando, just different from the ordinary everyday guys of Britain today who all the care about is drinking and cheapening themselves.

Where are you? Where do you find such divine creatures? Another planet?

i feel that i have SO much to do in a day....compared to my husband. once you have children...there is so much to do..cooking, cleaning, laundry, child rearing...AND working a job - whilst my husband occassionally helps...i feel that a woman has much more to do than a man...do you feel like that?

stupidity.. why are kids so desperate to have sex and take the chance of gettin pregnant or catching an STD due to unprotected sex...
why has the true meaning of having sex... you know the romantic part been taken away, and the majority of people think losing their V as not important?
is it really down to terrible education or is it due to their upbringing?do you think the true meaning of making love will ever come back, or waiting till your over the age of 18 to start having sex? will the average age decrease from 14, till younger and younger kids start to do it, i mean i dont want my kids to have to come into that sort of world..
whats your opinion on this issue?

For my girlfriends recent birthday I bought her a digital camera and also gave her £75 worth of vouchers for next. She is still paying of student debts and is always moaning how she wants to buy clothes instead of paying her fees. When we go out she looks at lovely things but will not let me buy them for her (she's excellent in that way) so I thought buying vouchers for her birthday would allow her to buy some nice things. However, she has just informed me that she will be buying things to go to work in. To say the least i'm not best pleased as I explained that she has to buy things to go to work in, the vouchers were meant as a treat to buy things that she really wanted for her. Am I in the wrong to say that the intention was for her to buy nice things for when she / we go out, not for when she goes to work ?

I suppose I will be expected to get excited when she shows me a nice pair of black trousers that she has bought - well I wont be.

Any advice ???

My husband is 14 yrs older than me and i am 24 going on 25.My hubby finds it strange and we have weird moments because i am his younger brothers age.I am also only 8 yrs older than his daughter from a previous marriage. He finds it strange to think when i was newborn he was a freshman in highschool. It can also get strange when his brother and i talk because he feels i regress maturity wise.We love each other very much but i sense the age difference bothers him sometime? He loves it though when people at work comment that he got himself a trophy wife. When we met he was my bosses boss and we still work for the same company.I dont understand why he feels this way when around different people?

This man has been cheating on his wife fr 2 years and he is living with his mistress (he's separated). He has his wife convinced that she is not around, but she is getting suspicious. She said that if they went to his apartment, she is positive that the girl would be there or her stuff would be there. He said "lets go".

They didn't go by that day, but he told his mistress that she should disappear for a few days with her things. Then he said that maybe that was too rash and they should just wait it out. She told him that she should just leave and he should work on his marriage.

He said that if he could work things out with his wife and have things go back to the way they were, he would go. He claims that it's not about one versus the other. She said that he was a jerk because she gave up her marriage, and her career for him.

If he wants what he used to have, why doesn't he get rid of the mistress and work on his marriage?

The problem is I'm going to be 20 soon and I have yet had a boyfriend. Anyone ever heard of that song Single by Natasha Bedingfield, well that's exactly what I feel. I just want the first guy I date to be a gentleman and care what's on my mind. I'm pretty and fit, but I've been told I appear serious. One guy even told his mother I walked like a soldier lol, but I'm a really down to earth girl! He was cute too, but I lost that opportunity b/c I didn't know how to react (back in 10th grade). I actually thought he was out of my reach and might like gorgeous girls. Do they think they're not good enough for me? I need your help guys =) And ladies, if a guy does like you and you might show interest in return, how do you show your interest? I don't want to come off as desperate, it'll scare off guys lol! Thanks!

My husbands Grandmother passed away, and we have to attend her visitation and funeral on Sunday and Monday. The problem is-I don't like his parents or sister and the feeling is mutual, and I don't think they like my hubby (their son). They didn't call him when he was in the hospital 3 weeks ago and they didn't get our children anything for christmas and havent called anyone or talked to us in 7 months. I just know this situation is going to be uncomfortable. I don't want to be rude to them but I don't want it to seem as I am going to be too friendly to them. In fact I like the fact that we have nothing to do with eachother, my husband says that they don't like him and therefore don't like his wife and kids either. Someone please give me some advice as how to act without being rude or too friendly, and some things to say to them, besides HELLO, how are you. Thanks.

that he'll come back on his own? He is very immature and maybe feel good if he put me down. He's having a tough time right now and he's not getting any one to look up to him anywhere else. I wonder if he'll be back, i wont necessarily take him back though. just curious...

PS:reason for breakup is i was a bit clingy and high maintenance.
