This man has been cheating on his wife fr 2 years and he is living with his mistress (he's separated). He has his wife convinced that she is not around, but she is getting suspicious. She said that if they went to his apartment, she is positive that the girl would be there or her stuff would be there. He said "lets go".

They didn't go by that day, but he told his mistress that she should disappear for a few days with her things. Then he said that maybe that was too rash and they should just wait it out. She told him that she should just leave and he should work on his marriage.

He said that if he could work things out with his wife and have things go back to the way they were, he would go. He claims that it's not about one versus the other. She said that he was a jerk because she gave up her marriage, and her career for him.

If he wants what he used to have, why doesn't he get rid of the mistress and work on his marriage?

To be real hones, if I were his wife, I wouldn't take him back. He'll be faithful just long enough to regain her trust and then be at it again. Men like him don't stop cheating, they only get sneakier. You wanna know what I hope happens? I hope his wife tells him where to go, and he tries to stay with his mistress, and she tells him to take a flying f***ing leap, too, and then he'll be all alone and realize what the single life is all about: drinking at bars for old guys in midlife crises to try to recapture their youth by skirt chasing the young girls out who will sleep with them for their money and then treat them like dirt and leave them for someone younger and hotter. As for the mistress, I hope her husband does't take her back for anything in the world, too. She left him and her career for a married man?!?!?!?! Someone this stupid deserves what she gets! Maybe she can join the cheating husband at a bar when she is looking for random guys in hopes someone will give two cents about her when all they want is to sleep with her and kick her to the curb.

This is a perfect example of someone "wanting their cake and eating it too". He wants the wife as security in the background. He also wants a woman to be his plaything on the side. Using the seperation as a safety shield against societies morals he continues a relationship with the wife and mistress. He's no better than a cheater, worse really because unlike a cheater the wife can divorce him under adultry, but with a seperation, if legal, not too much she can do except divorce him under irreconciable differences

The mistress and the wife need to get rid of him. He's playing both of them.

sounds as if he doesn't want the wife to know, that he really might want to go back to the wife, but maybe the wife isn't ready to take him back. if she gave up he marriage for this man she got nothing in return, but she should have thought of that before she believed him. he sounds as if he wants to protect his wife's feelings but doesn't care about the girlfriend's at all. maybe someone needs to talk to him about what is in his heart and who he really wants to be with.

I find it amazing how some people value themselves so little....What did he have that she would be willing to give everything up for?....Money?....If that was the motivator, then she whored herself out...and she has been paid...so she shouldn't be complaining. I feel bad for the wife though....but once again, people are willing to accept scrapes in life...Women...take back your lives!

He likes having his Kate and Edith too. Thanks a play on the old saying of having your cake and eat it, too.

He's basically a thrill seaker, trying to get over on both girls at the same time. Why? Because they are both weak and he can.

This isn't some one night stand that was a mistake. Both of these women need to kick him to the curb.

Because he wants them both. Some people are just greedy like that. But it sounds like you play a role in this triangle somehow....
